Airbag light is on the dash board is on and i need to know what to do about it to make it go off

That means there is a fault in the airbag system. Every time you start the vehicle it will do a self check. If the self check fails the light will stay on.

You will need a higher end scan tool to pull codes from the airbag module. Once you know what codes are present you will have a better idea of what direction to head into.

Disconnection of the airbag will NOT TURN OFF THE LIGHT

You need to have the airbag serviced as there is an error somewhere. it also means that the airbag will not deploy in an accident, so you should get this looked at by someone with experience troubleshooting airbag problems asap.

Obviously the computer in you car does not sense the airbag. It could be something simple like a bad connection or something major where the propellent or gas generator in the old airbag is faulty. In any event your system will not deploy so you should recheck your wiring and if that doesn't fix the problem, the airbag should be replaced.

FIRST TURN OFF RADIO TO KEEP FROM LOCKING OUT.THEN REMOVE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE WAIT 20 MINUTES UNTIL AIRBAG DISCHARGE.YOU WANT TO DISABLE AIRBAGS IN THE STEERING WHEEL OR DASH ANY TIME YOU WORKING AROUND STEERING WHEEL OR STEERING COLUMN OR WORK AROUND DASH AREA AIRBAGS NEED TO BE DISABLE.YOU NEED TO BUY A HAYNES REPAIR IT WILL SHOW YOU THE CLUSTER SCREWS LOCATION SO YOU CAN LOCATE SCREWS AND REMOVE CLUSTER TO REPLACE BULBS.

Reset airbag? I doubt there even turned on

a System Malfunction ,that you have
to check for codes,diagnose & repair

If you clear the light,how would you have it repaired?

Good Evening, that is your safety restraint system (airbag light), to get the code for it you need to find someone who has a scanner who can code your airbag system so you know what part of the system caused the error, from there we can fix it. the light shows up to let you know it is functioning ...have you referred to your owners Manuel or on the inside of the fuse panel itself as a starting point

it is positioned in the very centre of the dash board, behind the radio/Air con unit, it is bolted to the floor, you will need to remove the dash board and possibly the air con unit to access. once the module and air bags have been replaced it shouldnt need anything else.

need more info... i.e. brake light, abs light, airbag etc...
