Remove the fuse and look closely at the element in the fuse. You can tell by looking if it is burnt into. If you cannot and want to test it with an ohm meter, then set the meter to 200 ohms and touch the probes together to make sure the ohm meter is working properly. You should get a reading if it is. Now put the black probe on one connection of the fuse and the red probe on the other. If you get a reading the fuse is good. If not it is bad.

Used cigarette lighter to inflate tire, left inflater on for a long time now cigarette lighter doesn't work and car doesn't always start

It sounds like you might have drained your battery! When the car is running does the Cigarette lighter produce power? It should be working while the car is running. That would also explain why the car starts sporadically. Try leaving the car on for 40 minutes. That might charge the battery enough.

2000 Nissan Frontier Cigarette lighter not working while I use tire compresser using,

Tire compressor probably draws too much current for the socket. Are you sure it is a cigarette lighter socket? Some sockets are just to provide accessories 12v. Did a cigarette lighter come with this socket? True cigarette lighter sockets are generally fused at 25 or 30 Amps

The cigarette lighter on my 1995 Toyota Corolla does not work. The radio works fine. The problem started after I used an air compressor to inflate my tires. The air compressor attaches to the cigar

On the back side of the lighter there is a fusable link between the incoming power wire and the metal tab that connects power to the lighter. This is a very small wire, bent 90 degrees, between two tabs that are mounted on the same small screw. It looks like the incoming power tab and the power to the lighter would be connected, but they are insulated from each other on the screw. If the fusable link is blown, you will have power at the power connector on the back of the lighter, but no power to the center terminal inside the lighter.

Cigarette lighter while i am inflate one of the tire using it. stop working suddenly?

Looks like you overloaded and blew the cigarette lighter fuse while using a 12v tire inflator pump. Check the fuse and replace it.

What fuse is connected to the radio

yes you sure did ! check in the owners manual for fuse location . the safest way to use those inflators are with a cigarette lighter adapter with alligator clips right to the battery hope this helps

Blown fuses

not a good idea to use a larger fuse( fire hazard ) get the adapter that hooks to your battery or cut the plug and add alligator claps so you can hook it to the battery and you will see it pumps much better right off of the battery

My cigarette lighter is not charging in my car what could it be?

You mean there seems to be no power to the vehicle's lighter unit outlet.

This lighter unit outlet is normally wired through its own fuse so check the fuse panel in the car for a blown fuse. If blown it must be replaced with a fuse of the correct amperage. The owner's manual will show you where the fuse is located.

Before you check the fuse just check the cigarette lighter outlet with another plug-in device if you have one such as a portable 12 volt tire compressor or a 12 volt plug-in auxiliary light. It could be that if you are using a charger from the outlet, the charger plug or wiring may be faulty rather than the car's power outlet itself. (These outlets don't usually give trouble unless the wiring has been messed with or the outlet itself has been damaged or abused).

If no device works from the lighter power outlet check the fuse as it may be blown.
