My dash panel lights do not work and my rear lights don't work. Both stopped working at the same time. 1992 jeep cherokee. Is it a fuse? Which one? Where are the fuses?

can you here the indicator unit clicking if not the indicator relay has gone or could be as simple as a fuse not sure on model so dont know where the relay is normally in fuse box but some times under the dash

try turning the headlight knob left to right several times, and jiggle the switch at night. Also check your fuse panel should be a 10 amp or less fuse that says "Insr" or something like it.

Check fuse panel, under dash, as well as under hood. Owners manual should also give you map of fuses. May say"park" lights, "running lights", or something similar.

if indicator in front working most likrlly it is brokin wire to rear light or possible light sokit

A SHORT COULD BE IN IGNITION SWITCH OR WIRE TO SWITCH.CLUSTER COULD BE FAULTY.

you need a new flasher it'll be in the fuse box

Pull the fuses and check the socket for power on the things that don't work. If there is no power at the fuse box there is a good change the stater igintion switch is toast. it is located on top of the steering colunm under the dash.usally less then 20 bucks All that you mentioned get power from this switch that goes to the fuse panel when you turn the key on

I don't know off-hand. Call an auto parts store and tell them what you need. They can look it up lickity-split!

Hello and welcome to FixYa . Locate the dial that controls the brightness of the dashboardlights. If the control is not immediately evident. Make sure the brightness control is turned on. If it is and the lights aren't working, the problem may be a bad fuse. Check the fuse that controls the dashboard lights Replace the fuse if necessary. If just one part of the instrument panel is not lighting up, then you have either a burned-out bulb or a wiring problem.
