Our 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix is hard shifting. The diag codes that came up are trans codes P1811c and P1819c. Does anyone know what these codes mean? I'm having an impossible time finding them. Thanks in advance!

The codes mean that the Electronic Pressure Control Solenoid is going bad. The computer detects that the shifts are taking longer than 0.65 seconds. Then the computer commands maximum line pressure to avoid burning out the clutches, hence the hard shifting. My 2002 Grand Prix had the same problem, and I had great luck just installing a shift kit to speed up the shifting and haven't had any further issues.

06 pontiac grand prix shifting hard off a dead stop

If all gears are shifting hard, may have a code p1811 set-trans adapt long shift. When this code sets it commands full line pressure causing hard shifts. Usually the pressure control solenoid is at fault. You need to have it scanned for codes.

My2005 pontiac grand prix makes a loud airplain noise in right front. if i turn it pops and sounds like the trans is coming out ans shift hard untill i turn off engine and then goes back to org noise

It sounds like you have a bad CV axle and if it has been like that for a while then you could also have a bad wheel bearing. Due to the fact that servicing these components requires disassembling the steering and suspension system on that side of the vehicle, this procedure should be performed by a qualified technician.

What is trouble code p1811c?

replace the pressure control solenoid on the transmission, is it shifting hard??
Its located underneath the side cover of the tranny. You may have to lower the sub frame to gain clearance to get the cover off, then its easy.

Pontiac Grand Prix GT grinding and whining noise when turning...

If you have a warranty from your dealer, you paid for it, or whether it came with it, it doesn't matter, you MAKE them honor it. Take it back there, and MAKE THEM FIX IT! This shouldn't be your problem if you have a warranty. If they aren't honoring it, threaten them with the BBB or court. They will shape up.
I would say power steering pump.First check to make sure there is fluid in the reserve tank and at the proper level if not top it off and whine should stop.If level is correct then maybe try flushing with fresh fluid.
3.8L engine the power steering fluid was never toped/checked.. because it is a pain in the *** to get at (behind the hot as hell alternator), so it probably ran dry, top it up is probably all you have to do.. if the whining presists then you will have to try and bleed the air out by jacking it up, engine off, turn the wheel one side to the other about 25 times.. if that dont quiet it up then you will have to replace the power steering pump.

Power steering pump / fluid level is not hard to check - it is located below the alternator on the passenger side of the engine bay. You need a light to see it. You can get your hand down from the top of the engine to loosen and remove the cap/dipstick.
