After removing the 10mm bolt where the oil dipstick attaches you have to wiggle and work the tube up (this requires a lot of force). If that does not work and it is jammed, you can use a small pair of very sharp dykes to cut the metal ring that attaches it to the valve cover gasket bolt. after cutting, bend it out of the way and pull it away from the cover which will give you enough room to sneak the cover off.
Be sure to ask the dealer or parts guys for new varible valve cover gaskets which is not included in the valve cover set.
