go to dealer radio code is part of anti-theft system -besides the info you have will need to show proof of ownership for vehicle [title--registration ] and id most dealers give the code for free than use your manual to reset radio [[dealers usually charge if you have them do the reset]]
The radio and BCM needs read for codes. No reason for the radio not to work after a FOB program. Just a guess, but if the battery power was to low, radio is locked out.
You can't reset it yourself. It takes a scanner at your Local Dealership to do it. People do it, (new battery) everyday unaware that doing so can and usually does, arm the theft system and either kills the radio or the whole car. To me it's just another built-in defect that requires dealer assistance. It's a buzzkill I know, and it probably won't be long until car owners won't even have access to the engine compartment. They will need your VIN, and then they call HQ to get the code for your radio.
if the radio code is not written in the owners manual or you don`r have it then you will have to go to the dealer to get them to get the correct code for you radio and have it programed, write down the code some where you won`t lose it and the procedure for install the code.this is the only way to do this as there are as many codes for radios as there is combinations(thousands)
You can get the code from the dealer with the VIN# and you have to pull the radio out to get the radio's serial number. If you've tried too many wrong codes the screen will show error message. If so - disconect the battery for about 60 minutes to clear error message then reconnect and enter correct code
