On a 98 you dont have a wire. you have to put it on a scan tool and time the engine by the cam degree.

My suzuki vitara with 2 ltr peugeot engine after power washing engine going into limp mode??

You likely got water into the distributor cap or spark plug wires. Get some wire dryer spray from your local auto parts store and spray the inside of the wires on both ends and remove the distributor cap ( if so equipped) and spray it liberally too. Give everything about 2 minutes to dry, then replace. Do the wires 1 at a time, so you don't change the cylinder order they go to.

No power going to my radio after changing battery. Wanted to check fuses for the radio but I bought the vehicle without an owners manual. I need a fuse diagram for 2004 Ford Expedition please. Thank you

Radio is usually wired as an accessories fuse on the panel. Is it possible there is power but you need to re enter the security code?
If you don't have the paperwork you may be able to get the code from an online site when you enter the make model serial number. It might cost a couple of bucks? Next time you disconnect the battery, make up a couple of leads with croc clips on, wire them to a small 12v battery and connect them to your batt leads before removing the main batt and the small battery will have enough power to keep your radio/ alarm etc working when the main batt is removed.

Replace front camshaft seal

Disconnect battery, remove breather box, disconnect wires to alternator. If it has coil packs, remove them. Remove valve cover. Remove power steering pump( don't unhook the hoses) lay it to the side. Loosen alternator. You may need to rent a special tool to remove crankshaft pulley. Unplug cam sensor, remove timing cover. remove #1 spark plug, turn crank by hand until you find TDC compression stroke (notice timing marks on cam and crank pulleys). loosen bolt on timing belt tensioner and remove timing belt. Remove cam pulley and replace cam seal, while you're at it you may as well change the crank seal too. Reinstall everything in reverse order. After you get it back together, you'll have to recode your radio, if it is equipped with anti theft. If you're lucky, this is about a 6 hour job.

Car has been sitting in garage for past 10 years, on blocks. what do you recommend before trying to start? it needs new battery.

you need drain fuel tank.fuel tank probably need to be removed and cleaned out to remove all sediment in bottom of fuel tank.remove each sparks and label them.squirt some clean engine oil down the spark holes into cylinder bores to help lubricate cylinder walls and help seal the piston rings to build up compression.replace fuel filter.best to change spark plugs and wires.check all brake hoses they more likely old cracked. i would change brake fluid bleed out all the old brake fluid out of the brake system.also change power steering fluid and change transmission fluid and filter also change engine oil and oil filter.replace the antifreeze and all the coolant hoses and radiator hose.replace thermostat and radiator pressure cap.replace battery and add new full tank of gas.you should be ready go. check ignition timing also.

How do I change the spark plug of the dodge magnum 2006

· Open the hood and remove the bolts that hold the engine cover in place, if your Dodge comes with an engine cover (depending on model and year). If so equipped, pull the cover off the engine.

· 2

Grab a spark plug wire by the base of the wire and pull the wire up and out of the engine. (You may need to wiggle it back and forth while pulling up on it to get it out of the engine.)

· 3

Trace the wire back to the power distributor and pull the spark plug wire off the distributor. Make a note of the plug orientation.

· 4

Install the new plug wire in the place of the removed one. Match the new wire with the old one to make sure they have the same size. Press the plug wire over the distributor electrode and onto the spark plug firmly, so that the ends are secure. Installation is the reverse of removal procedure.

· 5

Repeat the above procedure for all the other spark plug wires. It is best to change all the spark plug wires at the same time.

Very easy process but takes a little time. Remove plastic cover on top of engine to uncover wires going back to ignition coils. Remove plug wire and trace back to coil. Remove and replace spark plugs on at a time, same with wires. Spark plugs need .5 gap. good luck

Need to know how to change the alternator properly

There are three bolts: tensioner bolt on bottom two bolts on top and they are tough; three wires: ground, power, and harness.
Disconnect negative battery cable, remove all wires from alternator, remove drive belt. Locate all bolts: remove tensioner bolt and mounting bolts, then remove alternator from below. It comes off easier than it goes back on.
Install is reverse order of removal. be sure to label wires for easier replacement.
