Wont start i have a 1991 accord with the F22A1 engine in it. automatic trans. problem is it wont start. it will turn over and try to start but to no avail. here is the funny part, right behind where the back seat folds down, just inside the trunk area on the passenger side of the car there is an electrical plug, that if i unplug it, my fuel guage stops working, but the car will start and idle up to about 1500 rpms. then i slowly plug the plug back in and it will drop the idle down to around 300 rpms for a second then pick up to 1000 rpms and hold. then when you accelerate whether sitting still or moving, it acts like it is flooded and smokes black out of the tailpipe. then straightens out after a few minutes. please help as this is only way to start the car and is the only means of transportation for me and my wife
thank you i appreciate the help. you wouldn't happen to know how to reset the computer on it would you?thank you i appreciate the help. you wouldn't happen to know how to reset the computer on it would you?

MAKE SURE THE TRANS FLUID IS AT THE PROPER LEVEL. IF THIS IS GOOD, CHECK AND TRY TO ADJUST THE KICK DOWN CABLE. TWO CABLES TO TRANS, ONE IS THE LINK TO YOUR SHIFTER AND THE OTHER IS THE KICK DOWN CABLE.
Chances are slim. Just align your marks, install a new belt and without any sparkplugs, turn the engine by hand. If anything's hitting, you'll feel it.
hope its now the transmission gone bad, but try these check, is there trans fluid in the trany/ check the fuse ad relay pertaining to the trany. change the filter
try checking the trans fluid level if its not that check connection on trans control module located under carpet on passenger side floor behind a panel same location as engine control module
thank you i appreciate the help. you wouldn't happen to know how to reset the computer on it would you?
