My 04 TrailBlazer LT popped up the Service 4WD light. I put it in 4WD this morning and had no problems. I went to lunch and put it on and it took a few minutes to switch and then the light came on. It finally did switch and it seems to be working. The light only comes on when trying to switch 4WD. I just bought this vehicle 2 weeks ago????

MIne will do that only when I'm switching my 4WD to 4low or 4hi, or back to 2hi AND the TB has good traction, ie pavement or rock OR the tires are cranked to one direction. After my wheels are straight, I just turn the engine off, and turn it back on, then the light goes off. Mine won't do that if I'm in mud, snow, or dirt where there's no traction. My guess is that it may be binding when the traction is good, therefore, I shouldn't be in 4WD. Anyway, my 2cents and I don't think you have to worry about it.

    Yea its really weird. Cuz I just went outside to try it again and at first I just turned the Key to "ON" without the car running and it switched right over so I turned it back to 2hi and then turned the car on and switched it and it switch right over and the light did not come on, so really weird to me. Hopefully its not something I have to worry about!

I have a 04 trailblazer check engine light was ongot it checkednumber 1 misfireI just replaced the cords and plugs so I took me 1 off put it on 2 the check engine light went off got home put the code...
code p0128 refers to coolant thermostat--coolant below thermostat regulating temperature==causes mechanical fault. ( thermostat stuck open --replace it) If you are experiencing cold weather then there is a problem with the ecm settings as the ecm should be compensating for the cold ambient temperature and setting the fuel mixture to richer than normal ( same as using a choke). Check the fault codes again and check for a coolant sensor fault.

2007 Equinox. No power steering, and service stabilitrak light is on. What gives. Had new tires put on, and two days later this popped up. any connection there?
Had same problem, went to work everything was fine, then got in vehicle getting ready for lunch......no power steering and service stabilitrak light came on. End result was power steering motor needed replaced. Motor controls the power to the rear wheels along with the power steering.

This morning I had 1/2 tank of gas. I stopped to
the fuel level gauge just went out na dthats why the light is on. to replace it you have to replace the entire sending unit. cost is $500.00 plus to have replaced. if you can live with it and keep check on your milage, I would wait for the pump to go out.

I did found it. The problem is the Front Axle Actuator Try this link that explain how to replace: http://forums.trailvoy.com/showthread.php?t=46356

You can buy a new one for around 75$ on ebay. Dealer was 300$ + 300$ to install it... Took me an hour !

Service 4WD LIGHT IS ON
I have a 2002 chevy trailblazer LT 4.2 l w/ approx 85000 miles on it and I left key in car after rolling down windows for about 2 hours drainging battery. After charging battery and running car for a little bit the service 4 wheel drive light came on. I have had no problems with the truck and I am wondering if it is because the battery was drained and the computer needs to be reset or something?
