Not sure to understand what you mean by "my car will start but will not turn". It is confused with either below cases:
1- Engine and be cranked but not on.
2- Engine is on but not turning wheels
Case 1
You don't have to replace the transmission, since it is not related to your problem. Your engine is not turned on since there is no spark and fuel going into the cylinders to make combustion. The Crank shaft sensor is what you need to replace since if it bad ECM won't receive the signal from it to turn on spark or fuel.
Case 2
A transmission shop can determine this problem.
Good luck.

2004 Chevy Venture. "Service engine soon" light on. Code PO401. I believe EGR passage in plugged. Will GM&#;s Top Engine Cleaner work?

diagnostic aids:
a vacuum restriction to the map sensor--a skewed map sensor reading can cause the PCM to read an incorrect MAP change during the EGR flow test
an engine that is running poorly due to mechanical condition such as worn piston rings, ect. can cause low engine vacuum thus EGR flow test will fail
excessif backpressure of the exhaust system can cause P0401
exhaust system leak can cause an insufficient amount of EGR flow
a restriction in the intake manifold such as carbon deposit and casting flash.

06 f250 5.4 code r107

Do you mean p0107 ? If so that is P0107 Ford - Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Sensor Low Input

Possible causes
- Faulty Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor
- Manifold Absolute Pressure harness is open or shorted
- Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor circuit poor electrical connection
- Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM) help.jpg What does this mean?
When is the code detected?
The ECM has detected a performance fault with the MAP sensor
Possible symptoms
- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Engine rough idle
- Engine hesitation
P0107 Ford Description
The Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor provides instantaneous manifold pressure information to the engine's Engine Control Module (ECM). The data is used to calculate air density and determine the engine's air mass flow rate, which in turn determines the required fuel metering for optimum combustion. A fuel-injected engine may alternately use a Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor to detect the intake airflow.

Can you tell me the location of code reader 1991 capri ?

1991 is pre-OBD2. code readers will not work.
sorry.
however, all is not lost. Many cars have an alternate way of reading codes from the computer.
Toyota has a block under the hood and you short couple wires together and count engine light flashes
Chrysler you can turn the ignition key on and off a few times and count engine light flashes
in your case for GMs from 1982 to 1995
1: find the 12 pin connector under the dash and short the upper two rightmost terminals.
with the ignition "ON" and engine not running. The system will enter the diagnostic mode. In this mode, the computer will display a Code 12, three consecutive times, by flashing the "CHECK ENGINE", "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" or "MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LAMP" or light. A Code 12 consists of one flash, a short pause, then two flashes in rapid succession.
2:. After Code 12 is displayed, any stored trouble codes will be displayed by flashing the "CHECK ENGINE", "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" or "MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LAMP" light. All codes are displayed 3 times each then a code 12 will repeat. In the diagnostic mode, the computer will also energize all computer controlled relays and solenoids.

2003 buick wont start without satrting fluid

Do you have a "service engine soon" light? If you use to much of the starting fluid you can seriously damage the engine and/or sensors.

Has good spark and fuel pressure but still don't want to start but tries to

Do you have a service engine soon light or check engine light before this problem occurred? Could be map sensor/mass airflow sensor/or ecm. Check the fuses. Sometimes the ecm fuse blows out. You'll still ahve spark but it ain't gonna run. Would be nice to know what king of vehicle your talking about.

OK I am a woman, my husb is frustrated w/my car & gave up. It has been shaking and cuts off as soon as I put it in Reverse, we had it put on a diagnostic machine and it said the map sensor, changed...

well, you need a shop to check it over. I think you need to start at verifying the fuel pressure, then look and see if all of the coils are firing. a map sensor is going to give a false reading if the engine is running bad anyhow. I dont know what silver piece you mean? Keep away from any chain store, find a small family operated repair shop, ask your friends or neighbors to recommend one if you dont have anybody........good luck.

Service vehicle soon light

Do all your exterior lights work. Including the daytime running lights. This is the service vehicle soon light and not the service engine soon light? Does the service engine light come on when you turn the key on? The service vehicle light will also stay on if the service engine light is burnt out.

Ser.eng.soon flashes code 34 MAP sensor

A code 34 calls attention to the MAF sensor, not a MAP sensor. Try changing that out, first. You might also be having problems with your ignition control module.
