Hello. Welcome to FixYa. Please allow us to assist you.

You either have one of several problems.

1) You are using a home-made CD, and the unit is not recognizing it

2) A CD is severly scratched and the unit is not recognizing it

3) The unit has lost its memory of the CDs in the magazine

What you can do:

The radio may just need to be rebooted. That process involves the radio to be removed from the dash, and the unit's wire connectors removed for 5 minutes (do this only if you are skilled in disassembling the dash). After removal, and 5 minutes, plug the wiring connectors back in, turn the key on, and hit the eject button. If the CDs slide out, you are good to go. If not, the unit will need a professional repair techinican.

My 2004 Toyota Avalon xls driver side digital thermostat will not go from cold to hot when press up on the temp button... My passenger side works just fine I can adjust the temp all the way from 85 to 60...

It truly sounds as if the temp control panel has failed. Could be a contact in the temp control button. I am basing this on the fact that everything else is working correctly. You can usally find an inexpensive one through Car-Part.com or Ebay.
