I have a 2007 slk 280 and the srs light remains on. There was no problem prior to this just one day the srs light illuminated and never went out. Any possible solutions?

You can & it will come back, until you

it dosnt want to shift? or is the motor losing power if it dosnt want to shift it could be the speed sensor

To reset the SRS light on an Acura Integra, pull down the SRS service connector. Unplug this connector so you have access to jump the harness. Start with the ignition OFF. Jump the SRS plug. Turn the ignition ON. The SRS light will come on then off.------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just repaired that same problem on my the old ladys 2007 slk 280. Found flexible cable similar to that of a speedometer cable pulled out of end of seat motor. Feel around underneath seat towards back of seat for loose end of flex cable and simply slip it back in the slot at the end of motor

dont think you can it should reset itself when you turn ignition off and on again but its a merc so no doubt its done like this so its a dealer only job ,hope you have lots of wedge to pay the dealer

Sounds like either you did not connect the seat belt restraint wiring when the seats where put back in. This is a common problem. You will need to look under the seat and make sure that there are no loose wiring at all. The SRS is for the seatbelts.

The air bag requires servicing.
