No. You can get a Free scan at Autozone or Oreillys. You may be able to fix the problem yourself. If you do not want to work on your van you can use the information from the free scan as a second opinion. You would then be assured the proper repair will be made at the Repair place of your choice when they tell you the same thing.

I bought 2013 GMC Terrain V6 terrain and it has a jerking problem everytime I accelerate. It jerks when its shifting gears. You can really feel the problem when you stopped at a light and then accelerate...

My 2012 gmc terrain has done this twice. Remote started to cool, got in car turned and turned key, out foot in bread to put from park to drive and it jerked forward and killed when I hit the gas. Moved about 2 inches. Then the next day (yesterday) I got in turned key and put foot on break to put from park to drive and put foot on has petal slowly and it jerked. Let off the gas and hit the gas again and it was fine. We are about to leave for a 5 hour trip. Is it safe? What's wrong? Will I get a check engine light? Worst case what happens? Thanks

I had blinking vsc code and check engin light on. Took it to a dealer who ran diagnotic. Dealer said gas cap has failed and new charcoal canister is needed. Since the high cost of latter, I simply...

Don't worry about that light, if performance and fuel economy is good. The light is still a fault from the evaporative canister.. It should not affect performance. Just make sure the fuel cap is snug. Just perform The ODBII scan periodically to catch any future problems. The vacume diaphragm for canister purge should be unplugged and the vacume hose plugged. This will avoid engine from sucking fuel into the engine due to a ruptured diaphragm in the canister

My daughter's 2000 Isuzu Rodeo acted like it ran out of gas while going 60mph. I put a gallon of gas in it and after several attempts it did start and idle. It would not, however, rev the engine when the...

All of the symptoms that you have talked about point to a fuel pump that is starting to fail. I would take it to a mechanic and have the fuel pressure checked. It is a simple procedure and should be rather inexpensive.

Hi Karen, is you jeep a grand cherokee 4.7? if so four reasons spring to mind.... Fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pump "O"rings perished, or an engine sensor fauly. Check pump pressure at reputable dealer or specialist, if it has poor or hard start, probably be the o rings on pump and tank, is there an engine warning light on.... would indicate electronic fault ie. sensors etc and needs to be put on DRB3 or Star Scan at dealer......... hope this helps......... I have a 2003 cvp. As I accelerate to get on the freeway, or under severe load, the check engine light blinks. Code was misfire in cylinder 6. A mechanic felt it was not the coil or the spark plug, but...

More than likely you have a misfire due to a coil. In 11 years of working at a ford dealer as a driveabilty specialist I have never seen a crown vic injector fail. If it has a misfire code again I would replace the coil and plug on the appropriate cylinder.

How do i get my engine oil light reset i just had my oil changed n it just blinks

Folow these steps to make the check engine light disappear:
1. Put the key in and switch it to the ON position, but don't go all the way - the car should not start
2. Wait for three seconds then push the accelerator five times in five seconds or less
3. Remove your foot from the gas and wait for seven seconds
4. Press on the accelerator and keep it pressed for 10 seconds - the SES light will illuminate and start blinking
5. Release your foot from gas
6. Move the key to the Off position and crank up the car.

Blinking Lights

It sounds like there is a fault with the automatic transmission. you need to go to the dealer to plug in the tester and see what the problem is. All you can do is check the oil level, that is , if there is a dipstick and not a plug on the side of the transmission.

Suzuki grand vitara 2000 model the engine light blinks

Take your rig.. drive it to a gas station.. fill the tank up with gas.. also fill 2 jugs of gasoline at the same time... put the jugs in the back of it.. now drive as far as you can until the rig runs out of gas.. then, take the two jugs of gas.. pour it all over the rig, inside and out.. now light it a-blaze, then walk to your nearest car dealer and buy a new car..
