I can't get the engine oil cap off to put oil in my car.It's a 1990 buick regal

buick regal oil cap - a6b6ca9.jpg A 90 Buick Regal Oil filler cap unscrews all the way out and does not "half-twist". It's just stuck. You may want to buy a replacement (about $4) before applying more force or tools to it, just in case it's brittle.

    You may want to try one of many types of "jar opener" gizmos on
    it or start it with some channel-lock pliers set wide open. (Turn
    counter-clockwise to remove of course).

Sometimes you have to turn the cap to the left and then puul it out. but it might be turned to left allready, try by puling out omly

It depends on how much oil and how long the engine ran if any.
If you put in 2 quarts too much but did not start the engine, no worries.
if you put in 2 quarts too much and drove it for 50 miles, you could have damaged some seals and they may start leaking. Odds are you did not damage anything internally.

You have leaking engine cylinder head gaskets, this may be the cause of the overheating or a result of it, replace the head gaskets and have the radiator cleaned by a by a radiator repair shop, that should cure the problems.

In the oil pan,near the transmission end.The aluminum pan on this engine is cross bolted to the main bearing caps,making it a bit tough to get on and off.

Can you shift it manually with the shifter? Like have it in second gear and put it in 3? If it shifts check vacuum hose to modulator.

there are oil galleries in the had so that the valves and cam can get some lubricant so it maybe that in one of those oil galleries has a crack and same with the head gasket so it could be either one
