Instructions in owners manual. Undo long bolt top/centre of headlight and remove. Then grab hold of headlight and pull out horizontally. Very tight. Held by four (4) locating studs

If by "welts" you mean some kind of plastic or rubber trim, clean area with 3M adhesive cleaner, then use 3M Black weather strip adhesive.

Where is the engine cooling fan relay located on a 2002 jeep grand cherokee laredo

It is located under the right (passenger) headlight assembly. The headlight assembly must be removed first. The quickest way is to use a Dremel tool to cut an opening in the headlight bucket. Go to YouTube and search for this procedure. I did it on my 2002 and it worked like a charm. Using the Dremel is easier than removing the entire header panel and other headlight. The Dremel procedure saves about 2 hours on the job.

94 Grand Cherokee Laredo. I need to replace the headlight assemblies.

Open the hood of the Cherokee. Above the headlights are one bolt to each headlight. This holds the headlight in place. Removed the bolt. Then just pull out the headlights straight forward. There are clips that hold the headlight to the inner panel.

Would a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo engine fit in a 2000 model?

The actual engine assembly will fit but you need to determine if there were any changes made between the two years in the computer or wiring harness. Also make sure that both engines have the exact same transmissions as sometimes the bellhousing patterns are different.
I'm pretty sure yours is a direct replacement though, providing both engines are the same displacement..Most scrapyards have an interchange manual that may help you. (they have to know these things...it's their business)

Want to replace the headlights on my 2001 jeep grank cherokee lar

They are very simple to replace, only a few screws then you pull the light out. Open the hood, on top there is I think a 10mm screw. It's very long in length goes from the top of the light down through the bottom. If I remember correctly there is another screw, once these are removed the light will wiggle and you can pull really hard outward. The lights pop right out.
