There is a transmission lock feature that requires tools to undo. This is a feature in case of accident or a hard jarring incident. Check the users manual. I am not sure on the procedure to revert to normal operation.

Try using an automotive dye in the oil the oil has to be going somewhere the dye should reveal the loose gasket or loose oil plug in which the leak may only occur at speed under pressure and not present when stopped

EP 80/90 is good.
You will see the Drain plug on the bottom,and the Filler plug about 1/2 way up on one side. Do the job on level ground.

If you took this in and had BMW do the work to fix it and it is not fixed why do you not return to BMW and get it fixed, If you have paid for a repair and the repair did not solve the problem have them refund your money.
