The TDC sensor is just under the cam shaft towards the firewall. It is secured with one 10mm bolt. Stuff a rag underneath and around the sensor to prevent dropping the bolt or sensor into the lower timing cover. Unbolt and remove the sensor. ------------- To get more detailed instructions with proper diagram ,you can get it from the link below:--Click on the link:--- http://www.diymyhonda.com/civic/tdc-sensor-cmp-sensor-replacement/ ------------ This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Tbc dash light meaning for honda

Hello,
I don't know of a TBC light for Honda but there is a TDC... If that's what you meant to type. Its the "Top Dead Center" sensor

The TDC (top dead center) positioning sensor is another name for your crankshaft position sensor. This sensor measures the position of your crankshaft and helps with the proper firing of your spark plugs when you start your engine. The TDC sensor on the '97 Honda Accord is located on the underside of the engine block. Replacement TDC sensors can be purchased at your Honda dealership. This is not a difficult repair and can be done in about 15 minutes.

Does anyone know97 Honda Odyssey with code P1361 Tdc?

P-Power Train

1-Component or Sub-System Section

P1361 is: Intermittent Interruption In TDC 1 Sensor Circuit.
Check out the TDC sensor, connector 124 (grey and on the distributor) check power and grounds. It's missing a signal from the TDC sensor in the distributor and causing a misfire.

Tdc sensor

it probably will not start as the sensor has to work for the cpu to know where tdc is so that it can allow spark and fuel to operate.

What is involved to fix check engine light codes P1361 and P1362 and how much should I pay a reputable mechanic

The code P1361 and P1362 can relate to a TDC sensor failure, the plug could be dirty or you may need to replace the sensor. Here's a walkthrough:

http://www.civicforums.com/forums/115-engine/323984-diy-tdc-sensor-cmp-sensor-replacement-w-pics.html

P1362 means the PCM isn't getting a signal from the TDC sensor. The TDC sensor is actually the camshaft position sensor.

TDC is also a Crank Position Sensor, Advanced Auto Parts has them for $70, or you can pick it up from your local dealer.

How do I fix a Interruption in TDC #1 sensor circuit problem on a 2001 Honda Civic? THe code is P1361 and P1362

P1361 is a misfire code, and P1362 is a TDC sensor (or crankshaft position sensor) code. The known possible repair is to replace the crankshaft position sensor. You may have to ask for a tdc sensor as some parts providers follow the mfr's part name.
