remove the door panel and try a test speaker or ohm out the speaker

look under back seat for preamp

The fuel filter is under the right rear of the car near the fuel tank. If you face the car from the rear it is on the right side by the rear tire and the fuel tank. Easy to spot.

slide the seat right forwards and you will see, inside the runners,the bolts to remove,the runners,with the seat...after the rears slide the seat right back to see the front bolts.replacement is a reversal of removal......

On my 98 Jetta it's located left of the steering wheel on the bottom-most part of the panel.

The window assembly has metal and plastic parts inter mixed that attach the metal to the drive motor via a cable. It is hard to see you will need a mirror and a pair of pliers. But the window all the way down vai the switch and look for a metal round metal part on the cable. This has to fit in the window assembly track.
I did a little bending and my rear window now works great.
