How do you adjust the valves on a 77 toyota landcruiser 2F motor

Rule of 9 4 cyl or rule of 13 if a 6 cyl----- number 9 down and adjust no1 ,no8 down and adjust no2 and so on ,same thing applies to the rule of 13 ,,,,,no12 down and adjust no 1 = 13 easy isnt it ,not sure of tappet setting but 12 inlet and 14 exhaust suits 99% of vehicles
