a 60 amp is not rated high enough so that is why it tripped,it needs a 70 amp....if this was a house you could have started a fire

If you mean ECT (Engine coolant temperature) sensor, yes it can.
The ECT is responsible for turning on & off the radiator cooling fan.
However an ETC (Electronic traction control) sensor typically wouldn't cause the engine to overheat. However if there is a code in the engine computer it can turn off the traction control. So if the ETC is turning off it may be a result rather than a cause.
You'll need to check for codes in the engine computer & if there is one for the temperature sensor you most likely will need to replace it but you'll also need to check the coolant level. If it is low you obviously have a leak.
FOOT NOTE: This engine is well know for its HEAD GASKETS leaking coolant. If you are having persistent overheating conditions & can't seem to locate the cause ie; water pump, radiator, hose ect. you most likely will need to have the head gaskets replaced... & that isn't cheap.

The AMP has been connected to a power source in conjunction with the ign. system. Change the connection wiring of the AMP to the accessory side of your ign. system. NOTE, Fyi Make sure you know the amperage of your AMP to much amperage can damage your alternator especially when using other systems in the car eg: lights, heater ect ect.

Possible Causes

• Check the operation of the thermostat (it may be stuck open)
• Coolant level is too low, or the coolant mixture is incorrect
• ECT sensor connector is damaged (check pins for damage, and for moisture)
• ECT sensor signal circuit has a high resistance condition
• ECT sensor has failed

I don't know if this will help or not , but one time my kids were playing in the trunk and locked themselves in , fortunaly they found the release but not before pulling a ground wire lose in the trunk . when honda is missing proper grounding it freaked out the turn signals , brake lights , third break light ect ect... My honest mechnic found it needed a new ground from the battery to chassies and one in trunk area. don't know if this will help. but took him forever to figure it out and if it had been honda dealer would have cost a fourtune. good luck ... terry

Removal & Installation To Remove:
ECT sensor 3.5L engine

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Drain the coolant below the level of the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor.
3. Disconnect the ECT sensor electrical connector.
4. Carefully remove the ECT sensor.

To Install:
WARNING
Damage to the coolant sensor will affect the operation of the fuel control system.

1. Coat the ECT sensor threads with thread sealer.
2. Install the ECT sensor. Tighten the sensor to 15 ft lb (20 Nm) on 3.5L engines and 22 ft lb (30 Nm) on 3.8L engines.
3. Install the ECT sensor electrical connector.
4. Connect the battery ground cable.
5. Refill the cooling system using the recommended procedure.

Removal & Installation To Remove:

1. Before servicing the vehicle refer to the precautions at the beginning of this section.
2. Remove or disconnect the following:
   • The coolant to just below the level of the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor
   • The air intake duct (1997-1998)
     
     
   • The ECT sensor electrical connector
   • The ECT sensor

To Install:

1. Install or connect the following:
   • P/N 9985253 sealer or equivalent to the threads
   • The sensor
     1. Torque to: 15 ft. lbs. (20 Nm) (2001-2005)
     2. Torque to: 17 ft. lbs. (23 Nm) (1997-2000)
   • The ECT sensor electrical connector
   • The coolant

4.2L Engine To Remove:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery.
2. Drain the coolant from the engine.
3. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor connector. Engine coolant temperature sensor removal and installation
   
   
4. Remove the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor from the engine.

To Install:

1. Apply thread sealer P/N 12346004 or equivalent to the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor threads.
2. Install the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor into the engine. Torque the sensor to 12 ft-lb (16 Nm).
3. Connect the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor connector.
4. Refill the engine with coolant.
5. Connect the negative battery cable to the battery.

5.3L & 6.0L Engines To Remove:

1. Drain the coolant from the engine.
2. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor connector. Engine coolant temperature sensor removal and installation
   
   
3. Remove the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor from the left cylinder head.

To Install:

1. Apply thread sealer P/N 12346004 or equivalent to the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor threads.
2. Install the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor into the left cylinder head. Torque the sensor to 15 ft-lb (20 Nm).
3. Connect the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor connector.
4. Refill the engine with coolant.

2.2L & 2.4L Engines

1. Turn OFF the ignition.
   
2. Drain the coolant system to below the ECT sensor.
   
3. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor electrical connector.
   
4. Carefully remove the ECT sensor.
   
5. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. Coat sensor threads with thread lock sealant and tighten sensor to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
