2004 Toyota Avalon: Trunk switch on dash won't open trunk. Fuse is fine. Switch checks OK. Opens OK with key and key fob. Don't have wiring diagram. Thanks for any help.

There is a hidden deactivation button in the glove box. Just push it and your problem should be solved.

I want you to do first thing first, check for blown fuses in the fuse box....2nd, see if the trunk release button is connected or connectors are not loose and and make sure the are snugged all the way in.. 3rd, make sure the button itself is not defective..and last but not least, if the all the past inspection, check for a faulty trunk latch.
