I had the same situation. I had the radio changed a few years ago when it went bad (manufacturer defect for this model year), so I was entering the wrong code. I looked around the ashtray and glove box and found a sticker that had been placed there by Honda personnel that had the new radio serial number and unlock code printed on it. It was also stuck to the second page of my owner's manual. If you can't find the sticker, you can go to, https://radio-navicode.honda.com, which has good instructions for finding the information for your radio that you will need. If you are the owner, you can supply the VIN, Zip code and phone number that is registered with Honda for the vehicle and get the unlock code electronically. You may be in a different situation, but I hope the info helps you get it resolved!

How do I get nav and radio screen to work it says theft lock

If your 2005 Cadillac STS is displaying "TheftLock" on the navigation and radio screen after replacing the battery, it means that the anti-theft system has been activated. Here are the steps you can take to unlock the system:
1. Turn the ignition key to the "On" position. Don't start the car, just turn the key to "On" position.
2. Wait for the "TheftLock" message to disappear from the navigation and radio screen. This may take up to 10 minutes.
3. Press and hold the "1" and "4" buttons on the radio simultaneously for several seconds until "000" appears on the screen.
4. Use the "TUNE" knob to enter the code that was provided with the vehicle's owner's manual. If you don't have the code, you will need to contact a Cadillac dealership or a certified mechanic to retrieve it for you.
5. Once you entered the correct code, press the "AM/FM" button to unlock the radio and navigation system.

If all doesn't work, it's time to contact a Cadillac dealership or a certified mechanic to help you sort it out.

Trying to install new radio, now caw won't start at all. Battery has full charge. Scan code says anti theaft. What can we do?

you have 1 of 2 choices ... anytime you take out the factory radio it activates the anti theft and car will not start choice 1 is put back in factory radio .. 2 is you will have to take it to a dealer to reprogram the radio to the anti theft modual the newer cars with antitheft will not start without it being reprogrammed by a dealer when taking out and exchanging radio

Radio pin code error

These codes are anti theft security codes and each one is unique to the car VIN number and the radio chassis serial number. The code was give to the original owner along with entry instructions to reset the radio whenever the battery has been disconnected. What you must do now is contract the dealer for instructions on how to retrieve the code to unlock the radio. There may be a charge for this and you may also need to remove the radio from the dash, it varies by module and year.

I had disconneted the negative post on my battery. After reconecting and atempting to start the vehicle, the anti theft light started flashing as well as a blue light on the sterring column. the car will...

In some cases, it's possible to re-set the anti-theft by physically unlocking your car door with the key.
The interruption of power is a safeguard measure to ensure the car has been entered by the owner and not somehow bypassed. Using your key should reset the alarm and allow you to start the car.

My battery was empty because it was to cold, and when I put a new battery, car stereo is asking for a security pin.

you will unfortunately need to contact the dealership if it is a factory radio this is a anti-theft deterrent

it is also possible the salesman or previous owner if applicable wrote the # down someplace such as in the owners Manuel or other paper and i would suggest looking there 1st ...also note you get 3 try's before being locked out from entering the code again for 1 hour

The battery died on my 2001 eclipse, now the radio only says ''off''?

This is the anti-theft device on your factory radio. When the battery died, the radio thought it had been removed from your car and went into anti-theft mode. When you turned the car back on, the radio should have read "CODE" on the display, at which point you need to enter the factory anti-theft code. After 3 failed attempts at entering the code, it will simply read "OFF" and the radio is locked.

At this point:
- find your factory anti-theft code - it should be in your owner's manual, or you can contact a dealer to retrieve it
- turn the key to the ACC position (radio and accessories on, but engine is off)
- turn on the radio so the display reads "OFF"
- let the car sit for 1 hour
- radio will turn off automatically and reset
- turn the radio on again, and it should read "CODE"
- enter the factory anti-theft code

Make sure you have the code before starting the procedure. To enter the code, use the radio preset buttons. For example, if your code is "4321", hit Preset #1 button four times, Preset #2 three times, Preset #3 two times, and Preset #4 one time. Then hit the "Tape" or "CD" button. Radio should now be unlocked.

Does anyone have Anti Theft code for 1996 850 Turbo? Not 1225.

you need an 'anti-theft' code to reactivate the radio. whenever the electrical power to the radio is interrupted the system "thinks" that the radio has been stolen and it goes into anti-theft mode.

if you purchased the car new, then you might find a white card about the size of a credit card with the owners manual or papers you received when you bought it. that card would have the anti-theft code on it.

if you can't find the card, call the dealer you bought it from. they may have the code on file from when they sold the car. however, most dealers only keep records for 7 years and often in remote storage locations so don't count on them having the code.

if you don't have the card, look inside the glove box for a white label about 1" long and 1/2" high. It may have two rows of numbers or just one. If it has two rows, the 5 digit number on the top is your anti-theft code. if it has one row of numbers about 9 charactors long, it is the serial number for the radio.

if you have only the serial number for the radio, you can call any Acura dealer, give it to them and ask them to look up the radio code on their Acura system. each radio code is specific to the serial number of the radio; there is no 'universal' code.

if you can't find the tag in the glove box, look under the rear trunk lid. if the car has an ashtray, pull it out and look at the backside or underside of the ashtray. the dealers put the tags in a variety of places when they did the initial inspection on the car.

if you can't find the tags, then try this. with the key in the igntion switch and the key ON but the rado turned OFF, hold in the station select buttons number 1 & 6 with your right hand. then, while holding those buttons in, turn the radio ON with your other hand. You should see a series of 5 charactors on the display starting with the letter U and followed by 4 numbers. write them down. then the display will change to a second set of 5 charactors starting with the letter L and 4 numbers. write them down. then call the honda dealer and give them those numbers--those numbers are the serial number of the radio.

if all else fails, the radio will have to be removed to get the serial number off of the manufacturer plate on the back of the radio. dealerships will not charge to retrieve the code for you but will charge to remove the radio.

hope that gives you some direction. I think you'll be able to get the radio activated again. one note--you have 3 shots to enter the code correctly or you'll get an error message. if you get that, disconnect the negative battery cable and leave it off for 3 minutes to clear the error mode. then reconnect the cable and you can then enter the code.
