I get shaking when i brake but when the abs service light comes on it dose not shake

check the hub/wheel bearing and your brakes the abs is part of your hub assembly and if hub damaged or failing will affect the abs system --also check the sensor and wiring sometimes debris damage the wire but with grinding and shake most probable is hub and a brake job

First thing is to check the abs for trouble codes so you know what to start testing.

Sounds like you ABS is working correctly, the light will come on when the system is activated, and from the sounds of things(oil pan broke) it did. Were the rotors for the brakes checked for run out? Sounds like a warped or bent rotor. If you were having problems with the ABS the light would stay on, deactivating the system.

Front brake rotors can warp in heavy use. When it becomes warped it'll cause the steering wheel to shake when brakes are applied.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

2006 Mazda Tribute, ABS braking lights on,Why?
While driving the ABS light comes on and stays on and when I apply the brakes it kinds of shakes a bit.
How to fix this problem?

take it in for a computer scan of the brake system.seems like abs system is causing pulsation .if rotors shake when you are braking then could be rotors need machining.

If your fuse box has a fuse for the ABS system, then you can pull it out and retest your vehicle. If shaking continues, have your tires and wheels properly balanced. Check tires for humps or deformations, better yet, ask if possible to borrow a couple of tires and rims (that fit your car) from someone that you know has no shaking problems and retest your vehicle. Warped rotors are the last thing to look at when problems like this arise, but are not uncommon.

check the battery ,check and replace wheel bearings,check replace wires and fuses.

you might have a wheel bearing coming apart,most lickly in the frt which would cause the abs to come on,or it just be a fluke that it is shaking due to a warped rotor,i would jack up the rfrt on each side and see if there is any play in the wheel bearing by shaking the wheel up and down.
