1998 Toyota Sienna. Problem: Passenger side windows won?t go up. I have replaced window motor but still won?t work. I don?t hear the new motor running when I use two (driver and passenger) switches. I have not yet put window back. Fuses (#18 and #44) look good. Thank you!

Have you tried replacing the master window switch? Just because the other windows work doesnt mean that switch for that window is good.

The main switch is controled by the drivers door main unit.....i had to use a forward force on my windows switch for it to replaced the whole unit, you could find those on ebay cheap if local auto parts is expensive

My 2001 toyota sienna window will not go up how do i diagnose the problem

The window switch on the driver side is probably it but you can check this. Take the switch out and short the two wires together. If you hear the motor engage than it is the switch.

Passenger side window stopped working. I changed the motor and it still does not work. There is no voltage where the new motor attaches to the car wire. Also the window can not be lifted to close (which I...

if the other windows are working it is not a fuse as one fuse serves all the windows, it could be the switch on the door panel or a loose wire, it might be a case of tracing back along the wiring to find just where you have power to.....hope this helps.....cheers

How do you roll up the passenger window when the motor appears to have quit working?

hello.well i have replaced about three of these motors on the toyota sienna and actually it has been the passenger window every time.basically to get the window up,you will need to replace the motor or sometimes this worked for me.have a friend pull up on the window while you try to get the window up with the switch.THIS WILL MAYBE WORK,BUT YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE THAT ONONE HAS TRIED TO BRING THE WINDOW UP WITH THE SWITCH FOR A LONG WHILE BECAUSE IF THE MOTOR GETS HOT,IT WILL NOT MOVE AN INCH.MAKE SURE THAT YOU SIT IN THE PASSENGER SEAT WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING AND WHILE YOUR FRIEND IS PULLING UP ON THE WINDOW,YOU TRY TO BRING IT UP WITH THE SWITCH OK.IF THIS DOES NOT WORK,YOU WILL NEED TO REPLACE THE MOTOR BECAUSE THAT WILL BE THE ONLY OTHER OPTION.HOPE THIS INFO HELPS.TAKE CARE AND GOOD LUCK, MANNY

Hello. The power windows each need a new window motor assembly which includes a new track system. The advantage to the assembly is that it is very difficult to remove the motor and install a new one. the power door locks on the passenger side the most likely cause is the power door lock actuator, about a ten dollar part.

1998 toyota sienna window on the driver side won't go up to close

Sadly, the power windows on this van are not very robust. Worse yet, the windows will go down but not go up--except perhaps a little at a time. But eventually the motor will no longer work.

I disassembled my power window and found there was no way to replace the motor except with a (very, very expensive) factory part.

My passenger window is currently broken like this, and I disconnected the wiring to prevent anyone from operating it. I keep my passenger window very very clean because friction (like sap from the Almond tree in our front yard) wears out the automatic windows quicker.

In your case, there's no real workaround because it's the driver's window--go to the dealer and see what type of price you can get for the replacement part.

My condolences.
