the common prob with xtype all wheel drive abs is one or both of the reluctor rings on the rear outer drive joints corroded/split have good poke at it with a small long screwdriver its just about visiable through the rear suspension arm drive shaft apeture i bet its adrift/broken or get he fault codes out of the abs module useing a scan tool for more help. the other prob may be one of the front abs sensor link leads faulty hope this helps
which brake warning light is on? the xtype does not have pad wear sensors fitted. so i guess you mean the abs light or the handbrake light.more than likely its the abs light and the common problem is the reluctor rings on one or the other of the rear outer constant velocity joints corroded/ fell off get the fault codes out of the abs module to help.
You will find the location of the sensors detailed at http://www.bluejag.co.uk There are two on each side of the engine (front and rear of the engine bay) roughly in the middle half way down the engine and almost at the bottom. The front ones you will be able to see clearly if you remove the battery and tray.
I purchased very similar here in the UK £4800 (trade) two years ago, only problem so far has been O2 sensor failure which I replaced myself but was still fairly expensive. Other than that car has been good. Check for Jag service history
