I have a 2002 mitsubishi galant V6. The heater is not blowing warm/hot air. the blower seems to be working fine. I think it may be the thermostat. If so, can I do this myself?

You might want to check the valve that lets hot coolant into the heater core. good luck!

2005 Mitsubishi galant heat doesn't work. Blower works and air conditioning work but no heat comes out. Coolant is full. Just feels like outside air temp with heat on hot.

Your thermostat may be stuck open and your coolant isn't getting hot to warm the cab. Here's a link on how to replace, very easy to do.Don't let your pets near spilt coolant, will kill them.

2001 mitsubishi galant heter dont work blows cold replaced thermostat and radaitor still cold

There is probably some kind of damper that opens and closes under the dash that allows the air from the blower to be blow across the heater core under the dash. Sometimes these are controlled electronically or by vacuum tubes. Look underneath the dash and look for small vacuum hoses that might be dangling loose or possible little wire cables that might have come off the sides.
Possibly check Haynes Manuals (www.haynes.com) to learn how to change a Heater Control Valve.

Where is the thermostat on a 2003 mitsubishi galant my heater is not working but my ac is and car is not overheating and heater core hoses are cold never warm so i think it maybe the thermostat does this...

just follow the top radiator hose to where it attaches to the engine. There should be a housing held to the engine by 3 bolts. On the v6 it's much easier to access if you remove the battery and the battery shelf before you start.

No heat. blows but not hot

same problem here. so far ive determined that the car has the right amount of coolant, and the engine is running at the right temp the fans turn on and off and the thermostat seems to work correctly. someone advised the problem was the heater shut off motor but I dont know where it is or how to check it yet, anyone? also the car did make some noise from the blower motor so maybe the heater core is blocked with leaves or someting, ill check all before i bring it to the dealer.

I also ran into this problem on my 2002 Galant. I've found that the heater control value tends to get stuck on these vehicles, especially when the heat has not been used all summer. It will make a clicking noise from behind the dash when it fails. This is a common problem. See
