error code 18 is - Open Crank Signal Circuit

Need to know what the code is. If you don't know how to retrieve it you can take it to an autoparts store and they will usually scan your cars computer with a code reader and give you a code. This will give you an idea of what the problem may be.

check your fuses first the first codes are vac. leak codes related to fuel at fuel tank

You can go to Advance Auto parts or Auto Zone and they will check the code for free. They can give you an idea from the code as what might be causing it.If the code comes and goes, It probably will probably not strand you.

well i dont where you got the codes but they do not match up with the generic codes and not the hyundai codes

sounds like you could have a breather pipe from the engine to the inlet manifold playing up from them codes ,now remember i have never seen a petrol version of this vehicle only ever a diesel here in spain so i have no idea where to you to look first sorry

the engine light is a way for the computer to let you know that there is a problem with the engines sensor, ignition system or fuel system. You will have to have a mechanic or go to auto zone and have them pull the codes so you can get idea where to start repairs.Until you do this it's almost impossible to give any ideas on how to repair. The code P0336 is crank shaft sensor performance code.The sensor could be faulty and not picking up a good signal.The after erasing the code,the problem still exists ,so it is then a pending code and when you shut the car off and restart it the code reappears.Just another idea here ,if you have not had a tune-up recently(plugs,wires,airfilter,etc.)you could get unwanted codes and your engine will not perform as it should.This could cause poor gas mileage as well.John.
