How do I access the spark plugs on my 1992 Buick LeSabre?

Connect a spark plug test gauge tool. It has an adjustable tip which allows you to see if there's a spark.

is it getting fuel? is it getting spark?

I have a 2002 Lesabre that had the same type symptoms. It ended up being the ignition control module. It cost around $150. It sits under the coils on my car. Had a somewhat large plug going into it. Not too difficult to replace.

On Type I coil packs, three twin tower ignition coils are combined into a single coil pack unit.




On Type II coil packs, the coils can be replaced separately and the ignition wires are all on the same side of the coil pack.

just go to a local parts store and they will give you all you need. spark plugs are not that difficult to size with the right parts salesman.
