Where is the thermostat located at, on a 3.0 v6 ,1996 ford taurus

The thermostat is located on the drivers side of the motor underneath a large wiring harness and is difficult to see. try following the top radiator hose backwards. Hope this helps....not too hard to change either.
DEPENDS. If it is the 24 valve OHC engine, the thermostat is on the passenger side, front, bottom of the engine. It's a little hard to get to but just two bolts.

Change the coolant sensor located close to the thermostat housing. This is easy but do not over tighten it. You will have the same problem if you do. Tighten till it does not leak only.Good luck!

How do I change a thermostat in 2003 taurus?

Hi,
The thermostat is located in a housing on your engine that the top radiator hose connects to... but it isn't tied to your heater problem. The thermostat restricts coolant flow until the engine warms up, but doesn't control the car heater.
You may have a fuse issue if the fan isn't blowing any air. That's an easy check and fix. Autozone might check it for you.
I hope this helps... Good luck.

Overheating engine in 24 valve 96 ford taurus 6 cyl

the thermostat can be easily changed from up top, the T-stat is located at the engine end of the upper radiator hose under the flange the hose connects to. Make sure u follow manufacturer's cooling system bleeding procedures when you refill after the T-stat is changed out.

I want to change the antrfreeze in the raditor.

Not only the cap, but you have to find the drain. They are usually put in the most difficult places. After ten years consider having your system flushed, it'll be good for your radiator. Take the car to a jiffy-lube type place and they will change your oil for you too. The Taurus is a good car, treat it right and it will give you good service.

Engine dors not warm up, no heat from heater

The thermostat should be at the end of the top radiator hose going onto the motor. The adapter that the hose is going into is where it is located. You will have to remove it to access the thermostat.

97 Taurus fuel filter

Not hard. It is located in front of the right front wheel. Be sure you new filter comes with new clips. All you need is a flat blade screwdriver and a pan to catch the gas that will run out.
