i just had to deal with this and it is most likely just a failure in your plug wire, it has happened to me twice, and both times it was just a simple fix by replacing the wires. it will probably run you about twenty bucks, verses the $60 that you would have to pay for a coil pack.i just had to deal with this and it is most likely just a failure in your plug wire, it has happened to me twice, and both times it was just a simple fix by replacing the wires. it will probably run you about twenty bucks, verses the $60 that you would have to pay for a coil pack.

Swap spark plug with cylinder 4. Swap COP (coil over plug) with cylinder 2.
If problem moves to cyl 4, bad spark plug.
If problem moves to cyl 2, bad COP.
If problem remains in cyl 6, suspect valve or piston problem.
Start with compression check
A flashing Check Engine light means you have a ignition Misfire, start by replacing the spark plugs and spark plug wires, one or more is defective. If you have a electronic engine control fault code reader the cylinder or cylinders that are misfiring will set a fault code, the codes are P0300-P0306, the last number being the number of the cylinder ( cylinders 1-6) the computer has detected a misfire in.
When a misfire occurs, engine speed will fluctuate. If the engine speed
fluctuates enough to cause the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor signal
to vary, The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) or Electronic Control
Module (ECM) can determine that a misfire is occurring.
When is the code detected?
- Engine Cylinder #5 and #6 is Misfiring.
Symptoms: - Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light) - Lack/loss of power - Hard start - Engine hesitation
Possible Causes: - Improper spark plug at cylinder #5 and #6 - Insufficient compression at cylinder #5 and #6 - Incorrect fuel pressure - The injector circuit is open or shorted at cylinder #5 and #6 - Fuel injector #5 and #6 may be faulty - Intake air leak at cyli
Possible Solution: - Perform Injector Service - Replaced Spark Plug #5 and #6 - Replaced Injector #5 and #6 - Replaced Ignition Coil #5 and #6
You need to have the ecm scanned for codes. The VSC and TRAC OFF lights are one just because the Check engine light is on. Once you clear the code in the ecm they will go off too.
hi my name is mark, to reset that all you do is pull positve cable off battery and that will reset the ecm. you might check your plug wires for loose connections.
