Sometimes my 2003 Chevrolet Venture will not start. It is not the battery and the security lock sign comes on. I think it's the security feature that's broken. I have waited awhile, tried unlocking the doors and locking them again with the remote, and sometimes this helps sometimes it does not. I have waited 10 minutes, tried it again, and waited an hour (stuck in a parking lot) and then it worked. Any suggestions?

had the same problem with my ford a few years back, found that the rubber seal on the piston in the compressor had run dry and it was too hard for the compressor to push the piston up and down the bore which cut the power to the compressor and you had to stop the car turn it off for a couple of minutes and restart it and the compressor would pump air for another couple of minutes and stop again.
I solved the problem by replacing the shocks with a pair of pump up shocks that have a valve like a tyre valve and you pump them up at the service station

The motor is shot. It works a little and overheats, replace the motor . Same thing the the lock acuators. The are trying but have lost the power to move the locks. May as well replace them while the door is apart.

check the system fuse and or circuit breaker. check the switch wires for damage and loose connections. check the switches for continuity. remove the door panel(s) and check the actuator wiring connections to see if they're loose or damaged. inspect the actuator rods if equipped to make sure they arn't bent or damaged or loose connections. the actuator can ce momentarily. a discernible click indicates that the solenoid is operating properly.

It sounds like you've got a broken wire on the drivers side door. Usually this occurs at the flex point of the wiring harness. Peel back the outer covering carefully exposing the wires inside. Repair any broken or those about to break. Solder & retape or shrink rap with heat gun.Hope this helps. Good luck!
