Now but you have fuses look in the fuse box when you take the cover off it it will witch fuse is for what the the horn and raido may be on same fuse it don;t think the power windows would be on that small of a fuse Pull out the fuse there should be a little tool inside the box or on the cover to pull it out See if the little peice of metal in side the fuse is burnt out if so replace fuse with the same color one

04 grand cherokee limited. Started at home fine. Got to gas station and filled up, went to re-start and it clicked once with no restart. Power is fine(lights, radio, power windows, horn) everything works....

You might want to check the starter if you can try tapping it hard with something then try to start it again if it starts then all you need to do is have it changed out if nothing happens then you might also want to check and see if there is a broken fuse link going to the starter I know some vehicles have a fusible link in line with the starter it acts as a fuse but looks like a wire it will burn in half interrupting the voltage to the starter and like you stated everything else will work lights radio horn but the starter will not turn over hope this helps you.

i am a tech at a ford dealership. it sounds like you have a short some wheres around your steering column that maybe what we call "backfeeding" to other systems. the area where the tilt is on the steering column is a good place to check. also remote starters can cause alot of havoc on a vehicle.

The green wire of the fusible link on the battery of my 97 Nissan truck xe keep smoking.the truck don't get power for the horn, heater,, don't turn the engine( not even crank the motor), no radio. I...

This means theres a dead short somewhere, so the systems it runs have a short you will need to remove power from each one until the short stops. take a look around for wires touching ground, the raido woundnt be the problem it has its on fuse and so does the horn, remove the starter wire, the small wire to starter and leave the big battery cable going to starter and then try to start it, i know it wont start but this will tell you if its the starter thats shorting out, if that doiesnt do it then continue remove connections until you locate it, also repair the wire and then turn the key on and see if it blows the fuselink if it doesnt then you know its the starter, but then crank and see if it blows to make sure, if it only blows when you crank it then its the starter, if it blows as soon as the key is turn on then its something else. hope this is helpful, good luck.

A good battery ( horn, radio, lights) but is absolutely dead turning the key. no sounds at all. no warning from starter motor. what could it be?

Check the power wire to the starter while turning the ignition switch. If it is getting power replace the starter & solenoid..

Cannot get horn to make any noise? Fuses are OK. Truck sat over the winter months.Went to use horn and nothing. Does steering wheel pad come off. What should I do? 2005 Nissan Frontier 4x4 truck ...

Could possibly be a corroded wire, loose wire, bad ground. Not necessarily the wires going to it, but the accessory wire it is attached to. My horn worked when my vehicle was sold to me, then one day it stopped working. Never did anything about it, then 4 years later my power window stopped working. I spent 8 hours tracing out the wire and I found a corroded ground wire where it goes out to the door switch. I tested the power window and it worked and pressed the horn button..it worked too. Give it a try. Or you might just have a bad horn, try to tap it. It might work.
