One key for doors ignition and trunk on the chrysler/dodge sedans.
The 1995 Dodge Intrepid 3.5 ES Has a belt not a chain. When I have a need for shop manual information I go directly to the dealer mechanics and ask if I can copy a page or few pages out of their shop manuals to diagnose or fix a problem i.e. timing page 9-64 timing belt removal and installation. It is also a good Idea to purchase the MILLER tool to lock in the camshafts in the back of the engine to prevent cog slippage. Good luck....
3.5 has a timing belt other engines I don't know. I'm at 102,000 and will do mine soon. Get a manual.
A "drive belt" V-belt and/ or a serpentine belt are the visible belts on Intrepids.
A Timing Chain is not visible on the Intrepid unless the timing chain cover is removed.
According to the Haynes repair manual, a timing chain should be checked or replaced after 100 thousand miles.
The other belts, (the ones you can see), when visibly worn or frayed.
The ones you can see are not that big a job.
The Haynes repair manual includes instructions for both types of belt repairs.
A timing chain repair or replacement is a big job.
3.5motors do have timing belts i have one
Im sorry this is not a solution but in your intrepid do you have a key to the trunk and to your ignition or just one to both?
There is no belt, it is a chain. it will last the life of the vehicle
