Renault clio Engine management light stays on and the car revs increase and decrease with lack of power we have had a complete new air flow system, including the part at the accelerator replaced but this still has not remedied the problem

    1.2 Clio Dynamique 2004 is giving me an absolute nightmare!



    the engine Mgmt light keeps coming on and we still cannot find the issue.



    Codes were read and they showed a problem with the 4th cylinder. So all the plugs were changed as were the leads and still the problem is there.



    It doesn't seem to matter how you try to fix the fault code showing it is not working.



    The light stays on until the car is warm and it judders and sounds like it is choking which is starting to get a bit frustraing.



    ANyway if anyone could help we would be really grateful.

Check your carbaretta take it out and give it a good clean also check your petrol fuel pipe it sounds like you have a block somewhere

Hi

There is a good chance (amongst other things) that the EGR valve is stuck open. It can easily be removed and cleaned.

However, the engine management light is the way forward. Have a code read done and it will point you in the right direction.

Renault Clio Air Con Fan Problem - Wont turn off
Find Someone else,
Have Them Replace The Fan Selector Switch,
There Is Only 1 Fan In The System, Since You Can Select Between Defrost, Dash, Floor,
But Cannot Control Fan Speed/Shut-Off Fan.
I Would Replace The " Fan Selector Switch" Installed In Your Heater-A/C Controller Unit
Mounted In Your Dash.

Decreased power
If your truck has a button for traction control you can push it to turn it off. The problem may be a lack of proper air flow. Any auto parts store can seel you a K&N Air Filter to help increase your overall horse power.

Renault traffic 03 1.9dci low power until turbo cuts in and wont rev past 3800rpm in any gear also occasionaly cuts out with engine management/glow light on no faults on diagnostics
my trafic did the same.no power pulling away until the turbo kicked in and it turned out to be the airflow meter.Hope this helps as it cured mine.Plus non of them rev past 3800 revs its normal.

1999 renault clio auto, Im having problems with the car maintaining power when staionary and when pulling away. The engine will also cut out when waiting at traffic lights or trying to park.
Check timing belt and idling. Your idling revs should be poor. Check out tacho. It should be at least 700rev/min.
