I have a 06 gmc van and can't figure out how to change the clock on my stock fm/am cd radio

Depends on what audio system you have . Base , upscale etc.... You need to look on the RPO code sticker , could be in the glove box , center console , trunk , driver door jam ? RPO - regular production order .

Press SET. Within five seconds, press and hold SEEK until the correct minute appears on the display. Press and hold SCAN until the correct hour appears on the display.

Press SET. (The radio may be on or off.) Within five seconds, press the SEEK right or left arrow until the correct minute appears on the display. Press and hold SCAN until the correct hour appears on the display.

you were suppose to have the radio unlock code .if you don't have it a GM dealer will unlock it for you and tell you a code for it
this is all for antitheft system

I am not really sure what it looks like, I am kinda guessing here. Turn the radio off, and press the set button, hopefully the clock flashes. Either turn the knob for the tuner, or press the button that usually tunes the radio.

I have a 06 Z71 and it did the same thing so more than likely your just going to have to buy a new cd player. I would recommend going with an aftermarket cd player because you probably going to spend just as much on another stock unit.

Try this, put the key in the ignition and let it be on the first turn right marked "ACC" or you can turn off the stereo and you will notice that only the Digital Clock screen will show. Turn the Volume/Audio/Sel knob and press on the "DISP" button simultaneously for about 4 seconds then release the "DISP" button. The digital clock will start blinking, and then use the Tune/Seek arrows pointing up and down to change the time. If the hour digit is blinking change the hour and after you have changed it press "DISP" then the minute digit will start to blink change it using the arrows, when you are done press "DISP" again or leave the clock for between 4 to 8 seconds the clock will start working normally.
