There is a noise coming from the right-front wheel area during a left turn. It almost sounds like a tire-rub on the inner wheel-well cover, but it also makes this same noise when stationary while turning the wheel to the left. Is it possible for a power-steering pump to make a groaning sound when the steering wheel is turned in this direction, but not when making a right turn? This noise becomes increasingly loud during cold weather, but diminishes slightly after the car comes up to running temperature.

I had this same problem and the dealer could not reproduce the noise when I would take it in to get looked at. (during the day when the temperature was warm) So I decided to leave it over night and they test drove it in the morning when the temperature was cold and they heard the noise. It ended up bing the steering rack.

In the right rear I get a rubbing noise when making a left turn or during rapid acceleration.

If the tire started coming apart it could have hit the brake dust cover and bent it.

Clicking noise turning right

Could be a tire hitting the inner fender skirting. Check both front tires to see if they are clean/scraped right at the tread and side. This is a good indication that the tire is rubbing something. Also, since your turning right, you put more weight of the vehicle on the left side. You might want to check the front and rear wheel bearings on the left. I've heard them click before, but only under pressure.

I posted on here a few months ago trying to determine the source of a grinding noise coming from the front driver's side of my 1999 toyota 4runner 4wd. The noise only occurs when there is a lateral force...

When you replaced the bearings, there are two (inner and outer) did you replace the pressed in Races where the bearings make contact? if it only happens when you make right turns it could also be the caliper there actuating if that brake line is getting in the way. The most common thing I have found in this situation was the splash guard in that wheel well rubbing against the tires due to previous damage from an accident or damaged bushings in the upper A Frame. Lastly, it could be the differential bearing, in most cases it will make this noise for both wheels when it is a Differential bearing but it is possible. The replacement process isn't that hard except for the fact you have to pull the Differential to do it and that is sometimes a real pain because typically you have to drop the whole transmission to do that.

Noise coming from front of car

It sounds exactly like a wheel bearing problem. The right side its seems would be the problem. When you turn right it puts more pressure on the bad bearing making it louder. I would suggest replacing both. If on is gone the other one isn't far off. Hope this helps

Front-end noise

If the noise is coming from the right front when making a left turn it would be a wheel bearing if you can narrow down where the sound is coming from i would check that.

FRONT TIRES AND ENGINE.

Hi,

The tire noise will be due to the car needing a wheel alignment, just take it down to your local tyre dealer and they will check it for you if you are not sure.

As for the burning smell, if it's coming from the engine it could be a simple oil leak leaking onto the exhaust or could be more serious like worn rings or valve guides.

Good luck.
