Where did you buy the parts
most parts stores buy their bulbs from china and the resistance difference causes multiple computer problems with the cluster including rapid flashing!

My left turn signal recently stopped working. Before ceasing to work, the turn signal (just the left) would blink very rapidly (machine gun speed).

sounds like one of light bulbs was malfunctioning and caused the flasher unit to blink rapidly and iy burned out. Replace front and rear turn lite bulbs and see if flasher flashes. if not check fuse and replace fuse. If fuse okay replace flasher unit. Good luck

Turn signal blinking fast. Why would it do this?

If the dash signal is blinking fast and the back of car signal is NOT working, then the problem is the bulb in the back of the car. The one that is not blinking needs to be replaced. The bulb that's not blinking is burned out, and this changes the resistance of the blinker circuit causing the blinker to flash rapidly on the dash indicator. FIX: Replace the burned out bulb in the back of the vehicle.

Note - Sometimes this situation causes the blinker module on the fuse panel to permanently change to a rapid or even a non-blinking state. In this case you must also replace the blinker device itself, which is on the fuse panel and looks like a small cylinder (or cube) less than one inch in diameter.

I have a 03 Alero 2.2L and the clicking sound of the turn signals kept going on even though I wasn't using them. I located the hazard switch and replaced it and that seemed to take care of that but now I...

If this turns out to be an electrical wiring problem, it will be a doozy!

I once found a problem with a friend's tail lights doing crazy things, signals bouncing all around, blinking when they shouldn't and so forth, reminds me of yours. He had replaced bulbs in a tail light with entirely wrong bulbs, was a two filament bulb (you know, with two little button terminals on the base) in a one filament, single contact button socket...or maybe vice versa, was a long time ago, but was the wrong bulb anyway, and caused that whole side of the rear lights to go crazy and just about drove him crazy too. Does this sound eerily familiar?
I would check the bulbs, make sure they are the right ones. Those corner lights, are they supposed to blink with the turns, or no?
Finally, and this may turn out to be your problem, you may have a bad turn signal switch. On American made cars, the brake light wire is routed through the turn signal switch. That's why they share the same filament in the same bulbs they work at...yeh, check the bulbs, then try a used turn switch from a salvage yard-just plug it into the harness connector without installing it first, and see if it solves the problem. If that not it, you will need professional help-and counseling maybe by then...no, I'm joking. Post back with what you find out.

2005 Lincoln Town Car - Right turn signal is rapid blinking. ALL bulbs and front and rear have been replaced. It is still rapid blinking only on the right side. Is there a fuse that needs to be replaced?...

You might check the courtesy cornering lights that illuminate and do not blink. These go on to shine on the front corners of the car. Since they use electric when the blinkers work, it may make the blinkers work faster if the cornering bulb is burned out. You probably are not noticing that the cornering light is not on.

Driver front turn signal does not blink. front

This may have more then one bulb in the front or possibly a bad socket try wiggling the new bulb in the socket to see if it will work.Compare all turn signal lights that come on the passenger side to those drivers side. Some vehicles also incorporate sidemarker lights with the turn signals.

Left turn signal beeps very fast and signal light not working, now is working fine and so is signal light

When your turn signal goes out it tends to blink VERY rapidly before burning out, It's a nice way to let you know before hand that you need to replace the bulb soon.
