The obvious will be to check the fuse, which I'm sure you have....

  • Next, locate the relay in the fuse box, There should be a directory on or inside the box lid.
  • Using a simple test lamp, remove the relay and identify the coil side and the switch side of the relay
  • The switch side will have the larger terminals.
  • Take a thin piece of electrical cable and strip off about five millimeters of insulation from both ends....On one side leave the wires intact and on the other use ONE strand of the wire.
  • Push the multi strands of wire into the power side of the relay socket....and then using the single strand of wire.... touch and remove (less than half a second) the wire into the output side of the switch.
  • If the horn sounds as I suspect it will.
  • We go inside the cabin to the steering wheel.
  • I believe that for this job you should take it to a shop, This part of the work can be dangerouse
  • But if you'd like to carry on knowing there is danger, we can continue at your own risk, realising that the air bag may be ignited.
  • Remove the fuse for the air bag.
  • Reach behind the wheel and locate the fixing screw holes.
  • There will be four.
  • Use a machine (star screw) driver and remove the screws.
  • Lift off the Air bag unit and unplug it.
  • Loosen and remove the center nut from the steering wheel and using a puller pull of the steering wheel....
  • Turn the wheel over and take note of the unit fitting.
  • Remove the damaged unit and fit the replacement, making sure to align it as per instructions.
  • After replacement, assemble, making sure of steering wheel alignment.
I'd be happier if you take it to a workshop, but happy honking either way....Regards Johngee10

I have a 1992 Toyota Previa. The heater stopped blowing air. For the last year the fan would only work on the highest setting.... now nothing. Is it the Blower motor, fan relay, or Switch??? Any idea?...

the last year, your blower resistor has been bad, now your motor is bad. rap on the motor and see if it start to run, if so, replace the motor and the resistor.

1995 previa within 20 miles following NC annual inspection both the odometer asnd speedometer stopped functioning and the 'service engine" icon on dash lit up. Any connection? Any ideas on fix?

The speed sensor on the transmission maybe bad, replace it and see if that is the problem.I had the same problem with my previa and replaced it and it worked great!

Toyota Previa Odometer stopped working. Speedometer works fine, but odometer doesn't move. trip odometer also doesn't move.

Lucky you... we all dream of that day!

Why fix a gift of that ... you've got angels!

Suggestion:
1. Change oil every 3 months
2. If you really want to fix it... check the line, load with graphite as per manual.

Horn not working

Hi.

On my 92 Previa it is located in front of the radiator. To access the horn you must remove one screw located just under the front hood lock mechanism and then unclip the two plastic slits using a screwdriver. Mine just died last week and I had to find out by myself. Good luck.
