I replaed the fuel pump on my 1995 jeep now. it will not run it just starts and dies

The pump can be running but not pumping any fuel.
When it stops running you will need to figure out if you are loosing spark to the plugs or fuel to the injectors.

Not getting fuel. Check fuel pressure at the fuel rail where it feeds the injectors. When you turn on the ignition but don't start it, you should hear the fuel pump in the fuel take run a second or two to pump up the pressure. If you don't hear that then it could be the wiring but chances are it is the fuel pump. If you do hear the pump but you don't have pressure in the fuel rail, then the fuel filter is plugged. That is typically not a frequent problem. The pump may not be putting out enough pressure.

BRING DOWN THE FUEL TANK.. ITS VERY EASY TO CHANGE THE HARD WORK IS TO BRING THE TANK DOWN... CHECK FUEL PRESSURE FIRST.. COULD BE DIRTY FILTER

Most likely the fuel pump,when the fuel filter gets that restricted,it most of the time,is not long before the fuel pump goes out,because of the strain on the pump.

It sounds like the fuel filter is clogged.

Check the fuel pump, make sure it is putting out proper pressure if not then change the fuel pump

you need to change module inside your distributor. When they get hot they quit.

how do you reset the computer for 1995 jeep grand cherokee changed the starter yesterday now it only runs 10 seconds and dies some one said to reset conputer but i dont know how tried the internet no luck please anybody help thanks ken

sounds like a security issue they installed a factory security system which will prevent the vehicle from running unless its reset go to passenger door lock turn key twice it worked for me after chasing other problems for a few hours
