Yes replace the battery temp sensor as per the error code p0516 showing up.The battery temperature sensor is located under the vehicle battery and is attached (snapped into) a mounting hole on battery tray. The sensor is located under the battery on drivers side of vehicle. The ABS battery tray will need the left and right edge lips ground off to allow the 10 inch long battery to sit in the tray. The tray should be retained so that the battery temperature sensor will continue to function. ---------- This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Since the timing belt powers the Oil pump, water pump, and cams, this would explain the lack of oil pressure, no spark, camshaft position sensor malfunction code, and possibly a crankshaft position sensor malfunction code. Have the timing belt checked and replaced. I believe the engine in your PT Cruiser is an Interference Engine.
An interference engine is a type of 4-stroke internal combustion engine in which the piston and valve paths
may "interfere" with one another as a result of incorrect timing in
their movements. The chances of no internal engine damage due to a timing belt failure are slim to none with an interference engine. If the timing belt is found to be the culprit, which I am 99% sure it is, have the head compression tested, and have the head, pistons, and valves checked for damage.

This indicates that a problem was detected in the camshaft position sensor
circuit. Since it says circuit, that means the problem could
lie in any part of the circuit - the sensor itself, the wiring, or the PCM.
Don't just replace the CPS (camshaft position sensor) and think that will definitely
fix it.
