How to replace oil pan gasket on a 1985 dodge pickup truck with a 318 automatic

No trick. Pain yes. Drain it, Remove the engine mount bolts, Remove the pan bolts. Use a block of wood and jack at the harmonic balancer. Jack it up till the truck body just start to raise. Remove the pan. you may still need to pry the engine one way or another to get the pan out. If you have 4X4, you'll probably have to drop the front differential also.

Will i have to remove motor to replace oil pan gasket on a 2001 gmc sonoma 2.2l 5 speed

You may have to loosen the transmission also to get enough room to remove it without taking the motor out. Make sure your pan is not cracked first. Also be careful when lifting the motor as to not damage anything on top of the engine.

Drain coolant, pull radiator, fan shroud off.Need a fan tool to get that off.Need to pull ac,alt,ps and brackets off. to expose front of engine. Need crank pulley puller. Once that's done the timing cover can be removed. Hint, spring for a new timing set. loosen engine mounts and lift engine at bell-housing remove oil pan bolts.and reverse.Might as well replace oil pump if you intend to keep the van.

Whats the best way to get to the oil pressure sending unit on a 5.9 litre dodge ram

The oil pressure "sending unit" pump is located in the oil pan, in/at the bottom of the engine. It's not something I'd recommend trying if you've never attempted a lengthy or relatively difficult repair, without guidance. You don't indicate if you have 2wd of 4wd. However, in any event, you're going to have to remove the oil pan. It will most likely require you to loosen the motor mount(s) and jack/lift up the engine. Not necessarily the best way, but the easiest. I'd be concerned with engine wear also if the oil pump is bad. Which would require you to at least change the connecting rod and main bearings.

89 Dodge Ram oil pan requires replacement

Easiest way is to pull the motor out and replace it. You may gain enough room by removing both motor mounts and jacking the front of the motor up. This may give you enough room to clear the crossmember.

How to remove the oil pan on a 2004 dodge ram 2500 diesel

What motor is in it? Mostly have to take all the oil pan bolts out, undo the motor mounts and raise the motor up enough for the oil pan to clear the cross member. make sure you don't have too much in the way when you raise the motor, as you may break something.

Front and rear motor mounts bad on 99 mitsubishi eclipse automatic whats the best procedure for replacement

just put the jack under the engine with a board in between the oil pan and jack, raise up a little unbolt the mount, jack up more, you might have to loosen other motor mounts but you should be able to squeeze out the mounts with ease or a little prying of a pry bar, its much simpler then most would think, just did it on 2 awd turbo eclipses last week, you can also buy a polly urithane kit and knock out the guts of the mounts and replace with the pollys for pretty cheap. im in iowa if you need help let me know.

Alternator belt

Place a jack with a piece of wood on it and place it under the oil pan. Put pressure on the oil pan but don't lift the engine. Remove the engine mount and jack the engine up and you will gain access to the nut you're after.
