Fuel pump 1989 4x4 with z engine 2.4L. Title says made in USA but the fuel pump that I took out looks like one for a Japanese built. The specs show that they have different PSI. My truck has Throttle body fuel injection. I hate to spend $200 for the wrong pump. Any help?

With a vehicle that old I think you should retrofit any pump that matches within reason the original specs as with throttle body injection fuel pressure is critical. If it is the same as South Africa the agent will sell you any **** to get rid of you. Try fitting a Bosch pump with a pressure regulator (set it to spec ). Please change the filter.

1986 Isuzu P'up isn't getting fuel to the carb. Replaced the filter and am getting ready to replace the fuel pump. While starting to replace the pump I noticed an inline part on the intake side of the...

P'up means pickup and is it USA spec car.
what engine is there
we had 4 engines then,. sold new. 2 gas, 2 diesel.
Gas.
the return line on all old loop fuel systems have and FPR in the line or just filter.
the check ball is inside the pump .
1: is turbo diesel too. see it here/ all 4.? we can;t guess engines
ever, be silly to try.
https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/isuzu,1986,pickup

must be 1.9L or 2.3L gas. not diesel right>?
yes both are still carb fuel then,.
some have 2 pumps, one in tank and 1 on side of engine off cam.
mechanical it. or 1 or the other.
some show and inline metal filter there.
my guess you have the mech pump off cam.
so that sure does have built end regulator.

2.5 to 4.5 pounds of pressure

3 pipes are IN, out to carb and return to tank
In to carb is the reg side.
the excess fuel via regulator goes to the fuel tank ruturn line
just like EFI injected engines do for decades.
modern cars the reg is in the tank at pump end. no return line.

Why fuel pump want run when turn switch on 1996 toyota corolla 4 cylinder what i need to check?

no country told vast Corolla exist, not the same on world stage.

which engine size sold world wide. 1.6 or 1.8L: seen in USA?
GEN 8 Corolla it is.but was delayed to USA intel 1997 so is not USA car? no country told. or is not USA or not 1997 car.
1ZZ-FE?????? is chain drive cam. if your unstated engine is cam belt drive(as is ours) it is now bad. that belt. and timed all wrong now. E110 model had 12 engines world wide.8 were Petrol spark.
or USA car is belted cam, so if have that the belt is bad.
causes Spark timing to fail and when spark timing fails so goes fuel.dead.(ecu logic rules all)
we test fuel pressure using fuel pressure gauge at the fuel rail while cranking, (not dribble tests) pressure must be at spec or it fails.
spec means OEM factory specifications stated in the service manual for all cars made, only this matters. (fuel) answer is generic.!!!!!
  1. :check all fuses first. yes spark and fuel yes.
  2. USA cars 1996 scan he PCM for errors.
  3. if said can show P03xx error or spark lost there will be no fuel allowed to flow by law. (no crash and burn logic ECU)
  4. if engine is belt cam drive, as ours is the belt fails at 60-100k miles and slips and all timing of cam and spark are lost. making fueling Impossible so we check this first.
  5. each of the 8 engine tests are unique for sure fuses EFI and all of that.
  6. if x4, engine compression is below 150psi the belt is bad. cam.
  7. if a spark timing light shows spark dear or way off time belt slipped. or on some 96s, the distributor is bad,or molested..
  8. if all seems good we check fuel pressure last cranking,
no E110 version of this car told, and clearer seen here.
the vast variances world wide

BMW 318i 2004 injectors are not spraying or opening

Have you checked for voltage to the injectors? If all of them are not working it could be something as simple as a blown fuse or a faulty relay. Try this website as there were some updates done to some 3 Series models around 2007.

Need for a 1993 izuzu pickup thats not getting gas to carberator

what engine? there are like 7 world wide. is car USA
the word PICKUP is both generic and real trade mark. how do you mean that word, USA pickup 93? or some other pickup sold world wide, looks like pickup but has other names (vast)_
ill guess USA, 2.3-liter 4ZD1,
outside usa its a FASTER (and huge list of names)
the usa engine sure did have a CARB, last one was 1994 in usa,
and Isuzu made that car... ending carbs forever.

how do you know that? (NOT GETTING FUEL)
no method stated.
looking down air horn cranked (boom , eye browse burned)
or cracking lines looking at dribble.?
or see the High speed accelerator pump dead, in carb. horn viewed?
how?
CARB 101 (basic basics)
one isuzu with carb has glass float bowl lid (yah scary) does yours>?
1: fuel pressure at spec, 3.5 PSI is spec, (off SM)
2: then if that's ok , the glass in front of the FLOAT bowl shows
fuel lever there is on the line, proper. ! float level.
3: if you look in there and see lots of CRUD, bingo.
4: if dry now, or low, the float valve is gummed up or stuck closed.
5: if fuel is too high it floods.
6: if all the above is ok the carb jets are clogged with junk as all do.
end (super basics carb) we can go like this for days, on carbs.
seen all fails, of all kinds, carbs. endless. they are.
ever fix quadrajets or SU carbs, you seen lots of failures.

Glow plugs work? (we measure current)
then filters

scan pcm for errors, not all errors glow the silly CEL lamp.

Where is the inertia switch located on a 2000 Isuzu rodeo?

2000 RODEO.
no engine state , size or cylinder counts. v6, I4 what?
fuel systems vary by "ENGINE" option. looks like both have this.
one more Easter egg hunt.,... buy the FSM book and read>?
were you in a collision?
no symptoms posted. so cant help
some have this switch others not. (no country stated either)
the 1990s v6 cars had one...
i tired first to buy one, and its is sold, here in usa.
see photo, knowing what one looks like helps no?
and anyone can buy parts and see them online.
its only on V6s. and is electric, as clearly seen.
yes it is on some cars, isuzu and most here in usa not.
why not post your country so others can answer .
be the 4th ever to do so, here.
as you may not KNOW, some countries require this on all cars import to THAT country , but not in oUR USA country.
her are all hits on a real forum (250k posts)
https://www.google.com/webhp?gws_rd=ssl#q=inertia+site:http:%2F%2Fforum.planetisuzoo.com%2F

see this, its called a site search.
(you need and account to search there) but i can search from outside, using this google magic.

I'D say you dont have one.
the usa PCM drawing shows no such device on the fuel pump relay pages.. nada, on USA spec, cars.
(alldata.com) not perfect but all I have...

25859139-xm4r4cd100gbehm3txueal2s-4-0.jpg

why not post symptoms so we can be on the SAME PAGE.
maybe?
no start?
got full spec fuel pressure cranking>? if yes, bark up another tree.?

Does a 2003 jeep have an inertia switch?

as always check all fuses first....fuse 12,19,and 24, for sure.
which engine,? there are many and a diesel.
each engine has unique EFI and specs....

did you scan the ECU? some engines has DTCs for pump pressure.
look there. using a scan tool.(any in usa work, newer)
my wild guess , car cranks but dont start?
just a clue here.?

looked at alldata.com and there are no cut out.s.
no inertial, rollover or oil pressure fuel cuts.

the PCM controls 1 fuel pump relay that powers the pump.
we check fuel pressure cranking, to see if it meets spec.
if not , work that,
if good, pressure, then we back up and check spark
fuel is last, not first test.

and if you had a real FSM it does tell you all permisses
for it to allow pump to run.
it cuts fuel for lost spark is one.
or unflood mode.

1: fuses good?
2: all dash lamps glow key on,including the CEL?
3: got spark cranking? if not there will be no fueling by design (logic)
4: if compression is good, the engine runs with test fuel for
say 3 seconds, so you check fuel pressure cranking
and get 0 PSI (the actual pressure, is very important in this diagnosis.
0 , 10psi, 60? ( can be pump, 12v power to pump or regulator bad.)

that is the order, and if you get to #4 we work that.
