If it is still leaking check the hose from the coolant reservoir , check radiator hoses, then check radiator.

SOURCE: water pump leaked coolant into oil is motor done

It should be OK after a few oil changes. I would keep a close eye on the oil to make sure it isn't turning milky or foamy. If it starts knocking, you may have a more serious problem.

SOURCE: squeeking in front of engine when running, doesnt

unfortunately, a lot of things squeak or squeal once a vehicle gets over so old. every pully, the belts themselves, engine supports when they get old, the brakes when they wear down, suspension joints on the verge of going, etc. try and isolate the squeal with the hood open, first. the first thing you should check is your power steering pump, which is the first thing to squeal when it gets low. look over the drive belt(s) for anything remotely funny looking. if your not sure about the water pump, focus in on that.

Known head gasket problems on those cars. Suburu dealership have a good product called stop leak. Use that first add a bottle into the radiator run the car to operating temp. Recheck the belly pan for leaks. hope this helps.

Coolant is leaking between motor and belts

This sound like your water pump is bad. when it goes, it leaks from a hole in front of the water pump. right behind the belts. don't try to fix the leak, not the problem. replace the pump.

How can i tell if my coolant leak coming from my water pump

The water pump is in front of your motor. If the coolant is leaking from under the water pump, then the gaskets on your pump need to be replaced. Depending on how many miles you have on your vehicle, you're better off replacing the whole pump, plus the belts and thermostat. Yes, new gaskets come with the pump.

Water pump

All three of these engines a timing belt driven which means the water pump is also timing belt driven. The water pump is located behind the timing belt covers on the front of all three engines. The timing belt has to be removed in order to service the water pump. Yes coolant can leak out the pump when it is bad.

Water leak by the front of the transmision

I had the same symptom and it turned out to be the small metal tube ($5 part) off the back of the water pump that feeds the coolant line that lays in the valley under the intake plenum. When the valley fills with coolant/water it spills off the back of the motor down the front of the trans. To fix the problem you need to remove the entire intake, fuel rails and plenum (took me 2 days to R&R plus acquire the parts) to get to the problem. I suggest you replace the water pump at the same time while you're in there. Not a hard job just lots of bending over wrenching. The shop wanted $1500, I had $500 into parts including plugs, alternater, water pump, belts, coolant and hoses. Good luck.

New water pump, drive belt tensioner and aux drive belt all fitted to x type jaguar and still leaking coolant under car

I would start at my coolant hoses there is one on the rt side of the car check coolant overflow hose and the bottle check heater hoses as well or it might be that the pump isn't sealed or something could be left loose

Coolant leaks

Hi, Andre. That sounds like the water pump's seals have given out. If you can see the water pump, look on the bottom of it for coolant leaking. If that's where it's coming from, you'll have to replace the water pump. On your Lumina, the pump is either driven by the serpentine belt, or by the timing belt. You need to look at a repair manual for your car.

Leaking coolant.. its hard to see where it is coming from.. it leaks out heavily when car is cranked,, it looks like it is comin from right behind the belt drive (the bigger one) is that the water pump?

This does sound like your water pump is leaking, or your head gasket has busted on the outside edge. I would check the water pump first, as it is fairly common for the seal to bust and leak coolant from the water pump.

My 2006 charger 3.5 is leaking coolant but only somtimes is it a sign of water pump malfunction no indications on the gauges but car seems to be running hot

this is most likely the water pump if it is leaking at front of engine, the water pump is under the large timing belt cover and driven by the timing belt, so both are changed at the same time.

Leaks small amount of coolant, but I don't see

Check the engine oil, see if the level is going up and what the condition is. you can take the oil cap off and inspect under it. if there is a milky fluid then the antifreeze is leaking in to your engine crank case which is bad for the engine bearing. The other thing to also check is the transmission fluid. make sure that its till bright red and not over filled to make sure it's not leaking in to your transmission through the transmission cooler which is apart of the radiator too. Good luck and keep me posted. Be glad to help.
