This sounds like you may have a leak in the hydrulics of the clutch, the clutch slave is not disengaging the clutch all the way, this is the reason for the low bite pedal and hard to get gears, the most common problem is the fluid is low due to a leaking slave cylinder, i would look around the clutch components for a leak, hope this helps.

My hyundai tucson is making quite a loud rattling sound at low revs but disappears around 2500 revs. it's worse in high gears

It may be worth looking at the timing belt tensioner pulley bolt to see if it hasn't worked loose, the belt may be about 3/4" of slack, which could cause the belt to slap against the inside of the cover at low rpms. It can also slowly shave away the backing of the belt. There could be about half a cup of timing belt dust/shavings collected in the bottom of the lower timing belt cover.

Hyundai excel 1996 have to double clutch to change gears

Where is clutch engaging? close to firewall or up high on pedal. If up high, your clutch needs replacing, Low, your clutch is ok, maybe throwout bearing is bad or air in system or not adjusted correctly

Could be about to fail. The point where the clutch "bites or grabs" is normally half way from floor to top position.

Fault code po 736 reverse incorect ratio 1996 dodge caravan

DTC P0736 - Reverse incorrect gear ratio

The clutch pressure control (PC) solenoid 2 flows fluid to the 3-5-R clutch when commanded OFF and exhausts fluid when commanded ON. The clutch PC solenoid 2 regulates the transmission fluid pressure to the 3-5-R clutch. The transmission fluid pressure (TFP) switch 1 Opens (High) under fluid pressure and closes (Low) when no pressure is present. The transmission control module (TCM) calculates gear ratio based on data from the automatic transmission input speed sensor (ISS) and the output speed sensor (OSS). The TCM compares the known transmission gear ratio to a calculated gear ratio for each commanded gear.

Circuit/System Verification:
Operate the vehicle to induce a shift from second to third gear while observing TFP Switch 1. Perform this action 2 times. The TFP Switch 1 should change states from Low to High. If the TFP Switch does not change states and no other DTCs set, replace the control solenoid (w/body and TCM) valve assembly. If any other DTCs set, diagnose that DTC first.
Operate the vehicle to obtain sixth gear 2 times and then check for DTCs other than DTC P0736.If any other DTCs set, diagnose that DTC first. If no other DTC sets, continue on with diagnostics.
Operate the vehicle by shifting from Park to Reverse, then while in reverse, operate the vehicle with the calculated throttle position greater than 8% for 5 seconds, perform this maneuver a minimum of 3 times. If the DTC P0736 resets, go to Component Testing.

Component Testing:
Perform the line test procedure.
Inspect the check ball 5 for possible sticking or damage. If you found a concern with this check ball, repair the concern.
Inspect the shift select valve 3 for sticking or damage. If you found a concern with the shift select valve 3, repair or replace the valve or valve body.
Inspect the R-1 (Low and Reverse clutch) assembly for wear or damage. If you found a R-1 assembly concern, repair or replace the R-1 assembly as necessary.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Clutch bites very low sometimes difficult to change gear with foot right down only just disengages

without knowing what your vehical is i will give you 2 solutions, First, If its a hydrolic system? Look to see if there is fluid in resivour if not fill it and try again you may have to bleed the system, Look for leaks. If thats not your system? Replace the clutch. Its worn out
