Try to remove the wiper arm and adjust the angle a few degrees to the right so it won't hit the side of the windshield.

Adjust wiper arm

You should be able to unbolt the arm and physically move it on the post. See if there is a cover over the post and a nut underneath.

My car window wiper is hitting off the side but it is the right size and isn't loose?

has been moved or the one fitted is bigger that the one it was originally set to. take the cap off the wiper arm and undo the nut. then wiggle the wiper blade arm until it comes off. then put back on and leave an inch gap from bottom off the window to the wiper. tighten the nut up and check that it works ok without going over any of the rubbers on the winds screen. if it does re do it and lift it a bit more up. then it should be fine after driving over 30mph then.

Windshield wipers travel past the driver side window:

There is a tool for that, to take the spring tension off the arm

You can still wrestle it off, by lifting the arm off windshield
& on the arms right side & under it ,is a small tab you slide
out.

Then the arm comes off & you can reinstall in a different place

My 1997 chevy suburban's windshield wipers don't work all the tim

It sounds as though the grounding ******** your wiper motor is not making a good ground therefore the wipers are not coming to the exact parking position. By pulling on them you pass that position and they begin to operate correctly. Thank you, Dana

How to change pitman arm on a 1999 chevy suburban

you don't have to remove the steering box to do a pitman arm. Take off the one 1/4 in. nut, or whatever size it is, take the nut off the center link, put a pitman arm puller on the steering box side, and tighten the puller until you can't go any further, and hit the adjuster w/ a hammer hard, then tighten some more and repeat

Windshield wipers on 1991 Honda Accord

hi from the uk to adjust n/side wiper arm ? if you look at where the wiper arm is fitted below screen you may have a cap/covering that conseals the nut that fastens the arm to the motor wiper spindle which has a milti spline for adjusting? remove nut and pull up the arm and reposition as to prevent hitting bottom of screen ?? however if your wiper arms are the type without this nut fastening ? then same principle as above for readjusting but you will have to raise the arm verticle and carefully prise the arm off spindle there is a tool for this job and makes it easier it is a wiper arm puller you may be able to borrow or purchase? they cost approx £11 in uk but can be used for multiple other jobs ? so try 1st method you may be lucky ? when you reposition arm tap it on firmly!when you are happy with position ? good luck !
