I have a 2002 lexus is300 and cannot turn the key in the ignition for some reason. It wasnt locked when i first tried but after a few attempts i ended up locking the steering wheel. happened once before but eventually after continuosly turning counter clockwise it started. This time thats not happening i also removed the tab to the gear shifterand tried it in neutral still nothing. I start work in anhour and need my car to get there someone please help me

to determine rotation you can remove dist cap and have someone bump starter while you watch rotor for direction..hope this helps.. chris

I don't know the answer cause I don't have this car, But sometimes keys are pressed too far in, try pull the key out just a hair and trying it there, also make sure the car is in park and try pressing the brake too.

the only way to get them out is to remove the unit from the car and disassemble it. if you replace the unit it will go to an exchange company and if you request it they will send your cd's back.
