96 honda civic dx location of PCV valve

Hi Jason , no vin told
no engine told of vast world wide.
no country told. PCV goes to top of valve cover on most engines
to suck the fumes off of there and burn them. a SMOG device.
dx-undefined-undefined-0.jpg our USA 96 has
a rubber grommet there and a PCV stuffed in there.
tell what engine is there.
and country if smart.

pvc-undefined-undefined-1.jpg
it loves to clog and make engine leak oil and engine burns oil;
replace it is best every 50k miles,
it is only a check valve.inside, simple as can be but clogs.

In the USA all cars here changed radially for 1996 year
manufactured after july1, 1995 for 96 marketed year.
OBD2 day we call that, even engine options before NOW GONE.

My 97 civic when it idle it goes up and down. could it be the vacuum breaker ?

It sounds like you have a problem with your idle air control valve. Also try inspecting your vavuum lines.
I had the same problem with my 90 accord, and after inspecting the pcv hose going from the valve cover to the intake, i found a hole in the rubber line. After replacing the line, the problem was solved.

98 honda civic auto revs up and down in netural and park

The idle air control valve may be faulty, its mounted on the back side of the upper intake plenum near the throttle body.It has three ten millimeter bolts that hold it in place and you'll have to remove the two coolant hoses located on the bottom of the valve.

Idle revs up and down by itself ..1992 honda civic

this problem is caused by a sludged up intake idle speed control valve to clean it follow these instructions.
, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.

I want more horse power without having to due an engine swap whats the best way to start everythings stock

start with intake manifold cold air intake not a short ram intake performance spark plugs wires and distributor cap, headers exhaust system not a tip.
make sure you have an LSD transmission then pull apart the motor mainly the head change out valves, spring retainers, and springs. new camshafts make sure you buy the springs and spring retainers before you put in the new cams. if you have the money to bore out the block it be better to take your block clean it up and put darton sleeves then buy a new crankshaft new psitons and rods with new rings all of this will cost a good deal but will increase performance a turbo should be the last thing you do increase the motor HP and max it out then put in a turbo but ensure your car is sleeved darton sleeves are the best never had a problem. i used to own a 2000 honda civic si i pushed 239 HP staright motor B16A2 motor. good luck any other questions let me know

Where is pc valve located on 2000 oldsmobile intrigue

  • The PCV valve can be located in several places. The most common location is in a rubber grommet in the valve cover. It can be installed in the middle of the hose connections, as well as installed directly in the intake manifold.

1991 honda civic hb si please help!!

Sounds like it may be a vacuum line problem...double check all the hoses and make sure none are off or broken/missing. Check over the IAC (Idle Air Control) valve too and inspect & clean it out with carb clean or something, could be that the valve's sticking
