the noise is caused by the CV joint being worn out, this is caused by a torn boot being left un-repaired for to long and the joint running dry of grease.

SOURCE: The windows in the 95 oldsmobile cutlass ciera won't work at all

maybe the wire is severed where the door (drver dr) pivots. thats what was wrong with mine. there is a rubber boot with crinkles in it that hold all the wires together. you can also try replacing the switch board that controls the wndws on the drvr dr. hope that helps.

they can be bought on line but the easiest way is to buy a manual from local parts store, or possibly check one out of the local library

When I make a left turn there is a noise coming from the front drivers side wheel, someone told me it was the boot, where is it

Hello rkayet,

They may have been referring to the CV axle boot. When the CV axle boot gets damaged dirt and water get into the CV joint and wear the internal parts, this typically causes a clicking noise when turning.

Unless you have the tools to rebuild the CV axle it's best to buy a rebuilt CV axle (sometimes called a half shaft) from your local auto parts store.

netvan

Clicking noise down by the front tires.

check your axles, for an open cv boot, this clicking is on straigth or turning, if turming to your rigth you hear noise to be louder on your left then your left axle is bad, do the same to your left and if noise exists then your rigth axle is bad.good luck

Is there a drive shaft

no, there is no "drive shaft" on a 94 oldsmobile. It is front wheel drive. you have a CV shaft from trans to left front wheel and a separate CV shaft from trans to right front wheel.

95 Cutlass Ciera - signal light not turning on, no clicking sound. Where is the fuse for those? Thanks.

the fuses for this car should either be under the drivers side dashboard or on the side of the drivers side dash.open the drivers door and there should be a removable panel on the side which says fuses on it.if the fuses are good, then the problem is your turn signal flasher which should be located in the same area where your fuse are.most of these flashers are round and are aluminum in color and that is where the clicking sound that you hear when the turn signal is engaged comes from.so if your fuses are all in good condition, check the flasher. hope this info helps you. take care and good luck, manny
