My 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee Lmt. dash guages don't work. I fiddled with fuse #7 and they came on for awhile and everytime they didn't work I fiddled with that fuse and they worked. Now the guages don't work when I fiddle with the fuse. I tried changing it - no luck! Every great once in a while, they come on for a minute then out for a nother week. What is MOST likely wrong?

SOURCE: Hyundai excel 96. Bonnet Cable broken

difficult one but not surmountable, need right tools to remove grille and find a way into bottom of catch ,suggest you call your local mobile mechanic as this sort of thing is hands on and without car in front of me its difficult to advise as iam a general mechanic with a bad case of old timers.but most likely cause is the outer cable has pulled through the end fastening but what end ?? as i wrote its a hands on job.

SOURCE: dash board cluster lights are out 94 jeep grand cherokee

The sensor is located in the very front on top of engine slightly to the right, If you open the hood and lean over the engine just so you can see through the gap between the fan and the engine you will see two rubber radatior hoses kinda to the left then you will see the sensor to the right of them ,kinda looks like a spark plug with a plastic plug on the end of it with two wires connected to it.It screws into the ingine.

SOURCE: My blower runs on high for awhile but only works

It sounds like you have two issues.
The fan only runs on high because you have a bad resistor for the fan motor. ( the high speed is the only speed that doesn't run through the resistor.

I believe you also have a bad fan speed switch.

I hope this helps you.

I can't get the vehicle information center in my 96 Jeep grand Cherokee to work no lights, warning, nothing, can't locate exact fuse but all looks good?

I would start with the Fuse Box under the hood. Start by pulling the Fuse's 1 at a TIME!! I have done it befor time & time agean. It's probley by the Battery. It's a black box that has " Main Fuse " or something alone that line. There just like the Fuses under the Dash, BUT BIGGER! They can be hard to tell if they blew. I have done it so, much that I know. If it's not that I would check the Fuse Box in the Dash. Jerry Dunn

I have a 1997 Jeep Cherokee. My issue is with the interior instrument lights, none of them work. I checked ALL fuses inside and out of the vehicle and all tested GOOD. Guages work and Radio display works...

It is the headlight switch, very common problem on jeeps, my 96 grand cherokee dose the same but most times the lights will flicker. Try spraying a small amount of WD-40 in to the panel dimmer switch and then move it around and kind of jiggle it around.
