Where is the fuel filter found on a sabaru legacy trs 2001?

the fuel filter is marked in the box.
first mark each hose with a different mark. then simply remove the clamps and carefully pry off each hose connection.
if the hose is damaged 5/8" fuel hose can be used to replace pieces if necessary due to drying out rubber

You need to tear the old switch out and replace.
I know the part for the blinker is called a "blinker cam" but I'm not sure if the hazard switch is a part of that. (I think it's a separate part)

A. DTC P1705: Short in Transmission Range Switch (TRS) Circuit. The TRS lights the A/T gear position indicator in the instrument panel shows which gear has been selected.

The PCM also uses this information in order to manage the fuel system for maximum efficiency. The most obvious symptom you will see is the A/T gear position indicator lights will not come on or come on in the wrong position.

Once this is repaired emissions should pass

check the fuel filters and fuel pump, could be 1 or both dirty, need to replace if so.

on the timing belt you should have 3 white line mark ...those should be matching with the 3 notch on the 3 pulley ,first aling the middle puley snatch up... and then ...align the left and rignt pulley with the remainign marks ond the strap, the aproximative position of the rignt pulley natch should be aroud 1 oclock and the left one 11 oclock...if tou dont have marks on the strap ...let me know ,i will give you a other option

pay close attention to the fuel filter as this is a common symptom and sign of blockage and poor fuel delivery....replace fuel filter

have you checked the fuel filter or fuel pump? possibly the crankshaft sensor?

To my knowledge, most versions of Subaru Legacy has the fuel filter inside the engine bay (under the hood), driver's side pretty near the master brake cylinder. tI is held by a clamp and would have two tubes for the in/out hoses. There are some versions of this car that have the filter incorporated with the fuel pump inside the tank.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
